I hope the clinical trial works out for your husband. I didn't know what chordoma was until I checked out the site that you posted.

Welcome to the team that no one wants to be a member of!

Good thing for those potato chips....

I hate cancer too.

Kay from Tennessee

My dear husband is getting on a plane Sunday and traveling to MD. He has been accepted for a clinical study. Excited and nervous at the same time. emoticon

Welcome to the team! This is a great place for support, whether you are the patient or a caregiver to one. I hope that he is doing well after the surgery.

Greetings. I do not have cancer. My husband has stage four Chordoma. Seven years ago my husband started having horrible shoulder and stomach pain right after eating. He went to our primary care Dr. Received a referral for gallbladder removal. That Friday while tying up loose ends for pre-op we received a phone call from the gall bladder surgeon saying that surgery was canceled. Back to the primary Dr. He went. Not knowing what was going on, the primary Dr. told us that husband had a large tumor on his lung seen on the pre-op x-ray. He received both an MRI and a CT. The growth was actually on his spine. He sent copies to his high school classmate in San Francisco. She said DO NOT biopsy. We ended up in Loma Linda hospital,California After the eggplant sized tumor was removed we found out that it was an extremely rare one in millions type of cancer. Last September, he had his second thorocotomy, to remove another tumor along with a tumor on the original surgery site and, 26 nodules from his right lung. Then, in April 2013, he had another surgery on his abdomen to remove a tumor. Pathology showed its all Chordoma.. His oncologist says he is her only Chordoma. Patient, ever. He claims that a bag of chips saved his life. If not for his love of snacks his gall bladder would be intact and healthy, and he may not be here. If you have a free moment take a look: http://www.chordomafoundation.org Thank you all for letting me share. I HATE cancer.
