Thanks for caring. No unfortunately it is Aurora in Wisconsin.
I am so sorry, Nancy, that you are feeling so frightened. I am pretty sure that any insurance company will pay for a second opinion. If you think it would be worth it, I would encourage you to seek one out.
Are you talking about Aurora, Colorado? If so, Rocky Mountain Cancer Center has my trust as a great place to go for cancer treatment.

So sorry you have potentially bad news. I pray you can find a second opinion since you are not comfortable with the first one. I have thyroid nodules that I keep getting checked out. So far there has been nothing that has caused me to have a biopsy.

I had some potentially bad news today. Boy, I certainly do not trust Aurora docs. I am not sure who to trust. they found Hurthle cells in my biopsy of the thyroid nodule and they just wanted to let it go and wait and see for 6 months if anything changes with a new biopsy.
I was not comfortable with that at all. I researched on the internet and found that the only way they can tell if Hurthle cells are benign or cancerous is to remove the nodule. So now I need to find a good endocrinologist. Any suggestions?
I am exhausted and scared.
