Just joined the team Thurs. so Thurs did lunges and expert and beginner boxing. Friday did 20min free step, today did lunges and advanced and expert boxing. Just going to send a valentine goodie for the bonus.

@ Glasskim, it's not uncommon for me to get in 20,000 steps in a shift. 12 hours in a ER and I'm all over that hospital... Easy. But yet I can't lose this weight!

Sat lunges 10/ side 100 points
Boxing 2x @ 3 min each 1- 268, 2-318 points.

Yay I finally completed a challenge! emoticon

12,200 steps at work.... wow!!! Great job -- I wish I could get half that many in at work.

We got a few inches of snow here again :( Did my lunges and boxing on Thursday and yesterday ended up doing a walk away the pounds tape - as my batteries died in teh board. So, its off to the store today for me.

Today: Wii Basic Step 30 minutes 2645 steps. 190 Calories Burned....that sucks...from the way I am sweating I would thought I burned more. I guess I'll have to walk or do another Wii Fit multiple times to get the other 210 off for the day.

I didn't do Wii yesterday. I walked 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill instead.

Wii Basic Hula Hoop 12 times highest score of 294.
Wii Rhythm Boxing 7 times with 292 highest score.
Wii Basic Run, Long 54% score. (Hubby called and I was trying to run in place and talk at the same time).

I'm going to give it my all this week!

Monday: 20 Minute Free Step (1570 steps)
Tuesday: Advanced 6 Minute Boxing Round 1: 509 Boxing Round 2: 611 Lunges, 10 Reps/leg: 100 pts.
Wednesday: 30 Minute Step (2289 steps)
Thursday: Advanced 10 Minute Boxing Round 1: 968, Round 2: 943 , Lunges: 15 Reps:100 pts.
Friday: 30 Minute Step (2838 steps)
Saturday: Minute Boxing Round 1: 324, Round 2: 380 , Lunges: 10 Reps:100 pts.

I sent some well deserved goodies to my teammates, too! Great job everyone!!

B-NANA - It seems to me that it is really all about the timing / rhythm of your punches and not the force behind it. Although you do need an actual punch rather than just swinging arms loosely in my experience.

I can tell you that when I punch harder, it seems easier for me to get a good rhythm too so those two kind of connected for me. It also helps me burn more calories of course.

Another tip that may help increase your scores is to follow along by punching lightly when the coach is demonstrating the upcoming punches. I figure that gives me a little more of a workout and it is then easier for me to remember the punching sequence.

I enjoy the boxing. I have a question. Can the Wii tell and/or is it important how hard the punch is? Or is it only a timing thing? Right now I can almost get up to 300 pts, while my husband and son get much higher scores.

Challenge: Feb 11 - 16 Happy Valentine's Day

I'm sorry to be a day late in posting this week's challenge. Life got in the way.

Forest Gump: "Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

I can't give you chocolates; but, I will give you the box. This week's challenge is a mixture of lunging for boxes (you'll have to imagine the chocolate) and steps.

On Mon., Wed., Fri., do the 20 or 30 minute Free Step.

On Tues., Thurs., and Sat., do one set of lunges and 2 rounds of boxing, any level.

Bonus challenge:

emoticon Sat - Give another Wii Fit Challenge team member a Valentine Goodie or leave comment on their SparkPage. Consider picking a member you don't know; it will be a nice surprise for them.
