Wow 1 year...that is amazing!!!! It sure doesn't feel like its been that long. But I can say this much. SparkPeople has saved my life more ways than I could ever give back. I had hypertension, fatigue, anxiety attacks, depression, and cancer. The hypertension, fatigue, anxiety attacks and depression were gone within the first four months on the program. I feel so alive today. The cancer I had for awhile, but didnt know it was there. It has long been dealt with and I am proud to say I am diseased free. The only obstacle I still have is my thyroid problem, but the doctor says it is still active but should be higher. So I have to work a bit harder than everyone else, but no complaints. I am happy to have my life back. I feel proud to walk or go hiking without huffing and puffing. Before joining SP...I had difficulties doing what I loved, even though I tried to stay active. Today I can do the things I love and more and not feel like each step is going to be my last one!!!!!! For all of you who stuck it out...CONGRATULATIONS...YOU ARE A SURVIVOR AND A WINNER!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.

I can't believe it's been a year since I've learned of SparkPeople! I started off really well. Kept up with exercise, using the food tracker and participating in team challenges. I lost 20 lbs. I lost my way at the end of Feb. and gained some back. No one's fault but my own. I am back on track and taking baby steps. Sort of back to basics. I will get there. I know I will.
I hope this teams stays around. I don't post much, but I do enjoy reading the posts.

It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year already, since I first joined Spark. I love this site, and everything that it has to offer, friendships,included
I think that I started off with unrealistic goals, at first. I've learned to set smaller goals, and work my way up. I like using the fitness ,and nutrition trackers. The nutrition tracker has been improved ,from when I first started on Spark. It now shows not only if you go over your calorie goals, but it will tell you if you are lacking things ,such as fiber. I like checking out the exercises that Spark has to offer. This way , I can decide on the ones, that I am able to do. When I first ,started Spark, I couldn't do but five minutes of exercise at first. Started walking, five minutes, worked my way up to ten minutes. Now, I can do so much more. I have more energy. I have built up endurance, for sure. Not only this , I also noticed recently, that I have more confidence in myself. When I was young, I really didn't have any self confidence in myself. Terribly shy, and withdrawn. I am doing so much better ,now. Actually, able to enjoy living my life . I'm looking forward to sticking with Spark, and working towards meeting my goals. Hope , that I can come back next year, and report that I've done it, and am maintaining weight goal. Time to get serious ,and making it happen. Enjoyed all the leaders, challenges, and friendships this past year. Good luck to us all. sharon
I can't believe it's been an entire year since I signed up for SP. It's unfortunate I chose not to utilize the tools that SP offered until the last 2 months. What a difference using the SP site has made in the last 2 months. I love SP and am only sorry I didn't realize all the great things SP has to offer. I so appreciate that SP is a free website and it's helping me start my new healthy lifestyle journey. Life is no longer going to pass me by thanks to SP. I've also sent some of my friends emails to join SP too. Happy Anniversary to The Survivors of May 11-17. Hope it didn't take you 10 months to enjoy all that SP has to offer. Wow! I can't believe it's been a whole year! Seems like just yesterday...
Well, I joined SP through MyPoints, and at first, just slowly got to know the site. I only really started using it actively in June. I have lost some weight, maybe not as much as I would have liked, but I have a hard time limiting my caloric intake!
I have learned to balance my nutrients (carbs, protein, fat) much better, and consistently drink plenty of water. I also exercise more consistently, and have added strength training.
I am happy with the changes in my life, since I can comfortably fit into my clothes again, instead of worrying about buying bigger clothes, and I feel healthier. I hope to continue on this journey, improving my health & fitness!!!

Well,i joined last may and did lose but not the way i feel like i should have. I walked,and even joined a gym for 2 months,then had to quit. I tracked almost every mouthful and started drinking tons more of water than i ever did. I still have 20-30 pounds to go. I'm hoping with having 7 months to walk,i should make my goal by Christmas(maybe Thanksgiving)!Thanks team for the support!
