If you've never participated in a 5K before, here's your chance! The Department of Metro Parks and Recreation is offering a free, eight-week 5K training program starting on Monday, Sept. 24. Training sessions will be held at the five regional community centers and the Centennial Sportsplex.
Also, MTA is offering free transportation on any bus to the 5K event again this year. Just tell the bus driver on Nov. 18 that you're headed to the Mayor's 5K and the fare will be waived. So there are no excuses not to participate Nashville!
