To focus on health and fitness, and Spark is a great tool to help me do this.

I want to get my weight down to the 180's by the end of the year (207 at the start), by a combination of exercise and healthy eating.

I have a new bike and will go on a few century rides this summer.

I need some help with portion control and mindless eating - the nutrition tracker already has me heading in the right direction.

My challenge was to give up caffeine....you don't know just how hard that one was. You would have died if you knew exactly how much caffeine I was drinking in a day!!!! I know drink water instead. Oh what a difference!!! I now have the energy to exercise too emoticon

My Goal is to do at least 10 mins of cardio a day 5 times a week. Just started but 3 days completed. I also have a goal to get my daughter involved, she is 6 and I want her to not have the same insecurities that I have. So far she has been my workout buddy and assistant chief. emoticon

Goal:
Drink 8 glasses of water
Exercise every day
Loss 5% of my weight by 9/12

My challenge is to get my house in order. I have papers, magazines, and old mail stacked up everywhere. I will work on that for an hour each day. I want to start doing yoga every day for at least 20 minutes. I plan to put away at least 20 dollars a month and quit smoking on February 1st. emoticon

My goal includes 10 mins or more cardio each day and no more than 1400 calories. This will be a great start for the first quarter of the year. I will regroup on March 1, 2009

I want to do cardio at least 5 times a week for 30 minutes at a time and strength train at least 2 or 3 times a week. I need to use self control to not go way over my calories and fat on the weekends too!

Eat breakfast.
Eat more whole grains, more veggies and fruits, and drink 10 glasses of water per day.
Eat healthy snacks.
One day of the week= cheat day (Except fast food...I don't eat the crap).

Exercise at least 20 minutes every day, up to an hour.
Strength train 15 minutes twice a week, working different muscle groups and will be working up to more in a few weeks.

So far I am making progress, I have exercised 10 out of the last 11 days, and I have been eating very well! No cravings! I am very pleased with myself.
I believe that I my actually be able to do it!

To quit quitting and do what needs to be done.

Get more vegetables and fruits daily.

Dirnk at least 8 glasses of water daily.

Exercise at least 10 minutes a day.

I really want to incorporate exercise into my schedule daily. I plan to work out atleast 30 minutes a day and then work up to 60 min. We'll see how that goes. Also hubby informed me that were quitting smoking so that should give me some motivation to move so I don't gain any weight from that.

My challenge was to come back to SparkPeople - again! The real challenge for the new year will be to do what I know needs to be done and stop quitting! emoticon

Last November a friend and I made bet to see who could lose 5 lbs. by Valentine's Day. So far I lose 2+-, gain 2+-...My big challenge is to get that 5 pounds OFF and keep it off (plus maybe help inspire my friend).
