Yesterday I was just over 1600 calories. Not great but not terrible either.

Okay, I had a good day yesterday, only about 1300 calories. Today is going to be harder as I am having Sushi whihch although healthy, is higher in calories than what I normally have. I probably won't get a snack b/w lunch and dinner which is the worst time of the day for me.

Well lets see. It's monday. I definitely fell off the wagon on Friday and Saturday but yesterday was better. I was in my calories for the day but only becuase i didn't have time to eat b/w breakfast and my football game so I ended up skipping lunch 9 I made up my calories with ice cream though). Today is going well so far but who knows. I find if I go to bed early then I am not as likely to snack so maybe a 10:00 bedtime is a good idea for me.

Yesterday I was up to 3300 calories..yikes. So far today isn't going well either. There are several things I could blame it on, including MTOTM but last night while I was out and everyone else was enjoying food and I just got fed up and said I am tired of dieting so I had what I wanted last night, and this morning I was hungry so I didn't worry about the calories I just ate. I know I am going to regret it later but right now I am happy to have eaten.

Okay 2 days ago I was up to 1750 but since I have such a great day the day before I didn't worry about it, yesterday I was at 1400. Today so far is looking good. I went for a run this morning and i have a softball game tonight so I will definitely get all my exercise in.

Well I finally had a good day. I was at 1296 calories by the end of yesterday. I am at a dinner party tonight and every coupel brings a dish. TOnight is BBQ night so I had veggie kabobs to put ont eh barbie. If everyone else brought somehtign equally healthy I will do fine. I also have a football game tomorrow so if i do go over, I know I will burn it off.

SP defiinitely helps with the what do to after you lose the weight but I have found little informaiotn on the stage that I am currently going through. The minute I asked for help though, there were people there to answer my questions and listen to my concerns.

That sounds like a whole different process alright! So, is that last stage and the "what to do after" covered pretty well in SP?? Maybe as your body gets closer to its ideal weight and the pounds are harder to lose, you start making the transition into "learning to eat all over again" ... I know for myself, I'm looking for permanent lasting change ... so if it took me a year to lose the last 10 lbs, 1 stubborn pound per month, but I had also learned to eat in a healthy "normal" maintenance style that I knew I could live with for the next 40 years, I'd feel I had really succeeded!!! No more yo-yo. Never again. But that's just me, what I'm looking for.

I am excited to get to my goal weight but before it was a lot easier, it just seemed like the weight melted off. The last 10 lbs are proving very difficult. I also think my body has resisted losing weight and now I have to work twice as hard. I am not even sure what I am going to do with myself once I reach my goal. I will have to learn to eat again all over agin and I am worried that as soon as I increase my calories so that I just have to maintain I will gain again. That in itself makes me want to lose another 5 before I start maintance so I have some wiggle room but if these last 10 are proving difficult I can't even image the 5 after that. I guess I will just have to wait and see how I feel.

Kudos for reaching out via the Panic Button. The thought occurred to me while looking in admiration at your football sailing so close to your final goal ... how does it feel to be so near your GW? Does that create a kind of stress of its own that may be affecting you?? I'm a newbie so now that I think of it, I guess that would be something that they cover pretty well here at SP! Anyways ...just a thought ...
Enjoy everything you eat today. You deserve it! Anna

So much for under 1300 cals. I ended up at 2328 for the day and I finally got scared enough to push the panic button. Immediately I had help and ideas as how to cut back ont eh cals. Today I am going to eat more than I normally do and that way I won't get hungry for unhealthy foods. Let's hope for the best!

Hi Merab, Good Luck with the food choices today. I got up early today and listening to my body,I stretched for 10 min. (one of my fast break goals) for the first time since I started. It is good to be able to share that we someone, knowing that they realize that a SMALL thing can be so important.

Boyoboy ... you grow great strawberries out here!! We've been eating our fill from the local U-Pick and freezing lots for the winter. Delicious!!!
You can call me Anna if you like.

P.S. my daughter, who put me on to SP, just added me to her friend list, and I to hers, I think, Her user name is CARRIE~A if you want to look her up. She's a cool person. But then, I'm not biased of course.
emoticon Have a great day. Anna

Hi Tanakamoon - no one else has joined but that doesn't really bother me. I have to be accountable to myself and just posting knowing that people are going to read it is enough for me.

Yesterday I had 1573 calories whihc is over but I also got up int eh morning and went for a run, served at teh strawberry supper at the church (on my feet for 3 hours - the dinner alos accounted for at least 600 of my calories), and had a softball game, so I think I have enough exercise to cover for it. I want to be under 1350 today.

Way to go! Great comeback after a tough few days. I'm curious - has anybody joined the calorie challenge in July with you?

My two brags are actually knowing everything I put in my mouth yesterday (1564 including a half glass of beer and a glass of wine at supper)AND getting my first trophy "upgrade". Yahoo!

Merab - OK! I thought I had done that already, but maybe I didn't save my changes. So let's see what happens with this reply :) In answer to your previous question, what I'm finding hardest is just doing what I say I'm going to do - no matter how small ... like drinking the water. It's almost like as soon as a make it a "requirement" or a "goal" my Inner BRAT gets on her high horse and decides that "WE don't need to do anything anybody says!!" and blows me a big raspberry! I don't know if you or anybody else has had that problem ... it seems out of proportion for the size of tasks I'm taking on. Maybe because I really want to make these changes for good, for me, and part of me is hangin' on to the old for dear life!?!? I don't want to get too wrapped up in the "drama" of it though. Just drink the water. What I find really easy is getting points by reading articles and actually, maybe setting goals of getting points by certain exercise and nutrition actions could be fun ... it kind of takes the emphasis off of the body image "old mind-set" and makes it into a game of personal best against myself. Well those are some of my thoughts. BE GENTLE today. YOU DESERVE IT.

Hey Tanakamoon. Download your pics onto your sparkpage and then when youare in the edit sparkpage mode, click on your profile image and choose the photo you have uploaded or uplaod a new one.

Thansk for your comments on my confidence. Unfortuenlayt it doesn't come easy and I haven't gotten used to rewarding myself yet especially when I do have bad days. I am happy that I am still here when I have given up before though. That I think is the greatest thing I have learned from Sparkpeople. I can be as down on myself as I but still here I am typing away.

Congrats for starting Monday morning by telling it just like it is. I love your confidence that you can get back on track, because you've done it before - I was just reading yesterday about how perfectionism is such a motivation killer and somehow there is this little voice that says "well, yes, other people will have those bad days, but it will be different for me" LOL
How ridiculous is that?? When I already have bad days or unreliable days in anything else that I do? But somehow, when I start a new endeavor, like signing up with SP, all the idealism and perfectionism steps up to bat ... and I risk striking out! So, I realize that it doesn't make the w/e calories disappear emoticon , but openly sharing your process has encouraged at least one other Sparkie to be more realistic and more determined.
PS how do I make my profile pic show up beside my post?

Okay...really bad weekend. This is definitely the worst I have done so far. All three days I was over my calories, in fact I think I am becoming a binger. Friday I was at 3500, Saturday 2100 and Sunday 2000. I will work towards getting back on track today! I know I can do, I've done it before!

Thanks for adding a comment to my SparkPage. I'm feeling pretty shy and overwhelmed by all the resources of SparkPeople at the moment. Congratulations on how far you've come already!! How long have you been a member? It seems to me that your GW is almost in sight so I hope you have some "Calorie-Buddies" to help with motivations this month. I'm just in the Fast Break stage so I won't be volunteering - but I'm cheering for you all the same. Thanks again for the warm welcome,
Tanakamoon

Okay. I am having some serious trouble in July and I need a challenge to keep me on track more than beign nice to people. SO my addtional challenge for myself and anyone else who would like to join is to try and stay within my calories everyday for the rest of the month. I will post here daily.
