Hi, all! Well, we made it to the end of the challenge since it is Novemeber 1. Congratulations to all of us!

emoticon
I have to admit that I didn't make thirty-one minutes everyday. I usually made it five or six times a week-not all aerobic, some stretching or toning. Some days it just didn't happen.

emoticon
However, I have been walking with my sister and her dog and she flies. I'm barely keeping up but I'm there! So I am proud! I am so glad we had this challenge to push me to do more fitness. It was just what I needed.

emoticon
I didn't lose the ten pounds. My weight loss has slowed down but I did hit the big 70 loss point and so I'm pumped to continue.

emoticon
for all of us. emoticon for the next challenge.

Good for you, Jae! You are doing great!

I've been walking with my sister and her dog since her husband went out west to work. It's fun and I know she likes company because they used to walk together. It's so good for me because I have to work at it but it's more social than exercising on my own.

Hope everyone has a great Monday and week to come.

Did a body fat test at the gym today and guess what the biggest surprise was? that SP had it exactly right all along and I didn't have to pay for it here.

Anyway, weighed in at 147.5 and so now I only have another 1.5 pounds to get to the 50 pounds gone. With the new workout, that should happen soon! I hope!!!

Have a great day everyone and have a great weekend as well!

I have to make a correction, that was 45 total pounds lost ... as for doing something right, SP has helped so much with that as I now track everything I eat and if I log the exercise, I feel like I have to do it.

Was supposed to go for a walk today but went to Curves instead and did a couple of stations a second time (the gym was empty) to get more minutes. Then I spent 15 minutes doing stretching. I am so tight. Meant to go for a walk last night but didn't. Maybe this evening.

I'm getting anxious because school is starting Tuesday; so I'll have to find ways to fit fitness in a busy day. I've been spoiled this summer. emoticon

This is me today-
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
So I started the challenge. I went to Curves after my dentist appointment. I did a couple of extra stations to get 31 minutes, did a good, long stretch. Then I came home and did my strength training in front of the television and did more stretches after that. I believe that is more than 31 minutes but I forgot I was doing the strength as well.

Anyway, that is what I should be doing usually. So I'm started. It's nice to hear how others are doing. It keeps me going.

Good news! I finally lost one pound. It took three weeks but it's gone now, hopefully for good!

Jo

Is it too late to join the challenge? I have been a little lax in exercise while I was travelling this summer and need to get started.

I'm up for this Challenge. I usually do 31 minutes or more of exercising a day anyways. I have just damaged my knee (again) but I will try.

People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing -- that's why we recommend it daily.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Consistency is the key.

Hi Donna,

I have the same challenge, even though it's not kids or a SO that is demanding my time, it's other stuff. And I appreciate what you said about not dwelling on it and just doing it the next day as that what I try to do as well.

Although, there are those days where guilt creeps in. :)

Ok..so my track record for 31 minutes a day isn't perfect..but I'm trying. Summer is hectic with visit from away, the dog getting sick and panicked calls from the kids with bad news. Some days it's darn right impossible to get in that 31 minutes...but I'm human and I forgive myself and I get back at it the next day!! Anyone else feeling the same?

Hi my name is Donna and I think this challenge is just the boost I need. I got on my treadmill today and walked 25 min and afterwards some sit ups and stretches for about 10 min. Phew...and that's my all for today! Can't wait to check in later to see how everyone is doing. Thanks again for the great idea!!

I hopped on my exercise bike today because I looked at my goals for the week and I had only completed this challenge one day. So now this makes two! I'll try to do better next week. It's hard to find the time - I guess that's why it's called a challenge!

While my van was in the garage I walked with my son(he ran)for about 35 or 40 minutes so I put 35 minutes in my tracker. But I checked the box! How's everyone else doing?

Near the bottom of the main team page there is a section called Team Goals. You will find it there, click on "join goal". After that there will be a checkbox in the "Track Other Goals" section of your Sparkpoints page. Each day that you do 31 minutes of exercise or more you can just check that box.

Akita, don't be sorry for asking questions. That's how we learn things right?

Hi, I'd like to join your challenge. How does the check box goal work? I am assuming the obvious checking off boxes to stay on track but my question really is do I create it myself or is this something you have created?? Or just ticking off each day to say we accomplished the 31 minutes?

I'm a clarifying kinda girl....sorry.

I've set this challenge up as a team goal as well for anyone who's interested. It is a check box goal so it's easier.

It's good to see you signed up already ALEXMOMROX. It doesn't sound like this challenge will be a problem for you at all!

The company that provides our benefits at work actually has a challenge every fall called the Be Active Challenge. It started today. The challenge is to be active for at least 20 minutes a day for six weeks. It usually takes me almost 20 minutes to walk to work but I am going to make it a point to try and do my 20 minutes over and above the trip to and from work.

We haven't had any challenges for a while now so I've decided to try a new challenge from now until Halloween (October 31st). The idea is to try to get in at least 31 minutes of exercise every day until Halloween and see how we do. Firm up those spooky sagging muscles, lose a frightening 10 pounds, work off some of that ghoulish figure...whatever! Post your minutes or lack of them here!

Who's up for this creepy challenge? emoticon
