Labeille, you are much braver than I. I would loose the battle with the hula hoop before I even got started, for sure. It would be good for a laugh though.
Sadly, no exercise today.

Our white stuff melted before I had to shovel it. I sure am getting tired of it!
10 minutes today trying to get my new hula hoop to work (took my daughter shopping for Easter clothes and it was the only spring-like thing in the stores!) And 30 minutes of resistance exercises. My fitness tracker has me up to 753 minutes (it includes a few 5-min or less items I was embarrassed to post, but willing to take credit for).

I have 1030 mins for March. I will probably have some more tomorrow, as I think there will be more of the white stuff to shovel, eech!

48 minutes on Dance Praise computer game. Eldest DD is home for Easter so we did it at the competition level--fun! That's up to 580 minutes for me.

Yesterday and today both, lengthy choir rehearsals for our Easter program, with a lot of standing around and waiting, so I did sets of standing resistance exercises (not much challenge but better than nothing). I counted them as 30 minutes each, so total of 532 minutes for March. Hopefully with the long weekend I'll actually get to do some cardio!

Hey it looks like you're doing well. Keep up the great work. I've been in a rut lately and then this week I've been too busy to think about it. Hopefully after the Easter break I'll be in a better frame of mind. I'm starting to slide backwards, I'm going to have to pull up my socks soon and do something about it.

70 minutes walking and running some intervals in Centennial Park while DD was at a dance practice. Lots of people out enjoying the sunshine--some walking, some cross-country skiing. Next time I do this I will bring my old broken-tipped ski poles and try pole walking--anyone done that?

That's awesome glenda!

I was shovelling (again!) for 45 minutes today. I can't wait for the snow to go but it seems to be the only exercise I get.

Monthly total: 225 minutes

35 minutes of resistance stuff last night. If I add that to 3 minutes of shovelling on Wednesday and 2 minutes of squats while on hold on the phone Thursday, that brings me up to 175 minutes for the month so far.
Those tiny bits hardly count, but surely the rest of you must be doing at least that much in a day. Where is everybody?

Today- 75 mins. of walking and steps.

OOPS! I did not do my crunches last night as I said I would do because I fell asleep on the couch while watching American Idol.(I had a stressful day at work) But I'm off today and tomorrow and loving it!
I was up bright and early this morning and went for my walk at the Pepsi Centre. Hoping to get in crunches later.

Thought I would record my fitness as well.

Sun. 1 hr 15 mins power walking

Mon. and Tues. worked 12 hr shifts but i'm sure I put on MILES walking back and forth these hallways at the seniors home. I did do 70 crunches on Mon. when I arrived home and I'm going to do at least the same amount before I go to bed tonight. I will record the amount tomorrow.

So far I have: 30 min walking on Sunday, 30 min skating and 60 min shovelling snow today.

Monthly Total: 120 min

Tracking exercise minutes sounds fine by me. Your targets are way beyond me though--that would be 50 to 60 minutes every single day of the month but one. But I'll track and see how far I get. Thanks.

How about a certain amount of exercise for the month - say, 1500 or 1800 minutes for the month. We could keep our own running total. Or would you prefer a food challenge?

I need a challenge too. I would like to keep it simple and lose 1-2 lbs a week for a total of at least 5 lbs for March. Limit my sweets (take fruit or veggies to work to snack on) Also limit Pepsi and chips. I am going to start recording what I'm eating again.
