Got them all today I think (hard to be sure of number of veggie servings when I eat a pile of carrot sticks etc). That's if I can add up cheese and milk in tea to be one glass-of-milk equivalent.
Not doing so great with the exercise though. Will edit if I do some later. (On call tonight)

My personal Feb challenge is to get myself back into the habit of coming to SparkPeople, loggins my points, recording my eating and exercising. I've been very very slack about doing this!
I do like the 5,4,3,2,1 thing ... must make a copy of that to put on my fridge.

Here is Merab's Sept challenge. I just copied it.

5 - servings of fruits and veggies per day
4 - servings of high fiber foods per day (to learn about high fiber check out http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/refere
nce_fiber.asp )
3 - servings of whole grains per day
2 - servings of milk per day
1 - alternative source of protein per day (nuts, soy, dairy, etc - for more ideas check out http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/refere
nce_proteins.asp )

Blast off - the pounds with some sort of exercise, strength traning or stretching daily!

What do you think? Any changes?

Check this out! I was trying to plan my grocery shopping online (now that the supermarkets start their specials on Sat. it's that or visit the stores twice in 1 day). The Superstore homepage has something called the "28 day healthy eating challenge". If you go to PC.ca/challenge you can check it out.
When you enter your particulars it selects a calorie range for you (1500, 1800, 2100) and then gives you a 4 week eating plan with all your meals laid out, with alternates, a lot like the sparkpeople menu planner (which I use for inspiration only) but all based on stuff we can get here, some recipes included.
My teen daughter & I compared notes, we get the same meals but she has bigger servings & different snacks.
Anybody else interested in trying this? It doesn't really fit our definition of a challenge but I've posted it here and also as a new thread so you'd all see it.

Can we combine some of these into a challenge? (Like Merab's 5-4-3-2-1- Blastoff we did last summer?)
My challenge points would be: exercise, water, fruit/veg, maybe dairy (after 50, Canada's Food Guide says 3 a day) and getting to bed at a decent hour. (All of these are relevant to weight control.)

Good ideas. Other ideas to do a set amount of minutes in exercise per week, f/v challenge, ie 5/day, water is always popular.

Im not exactly sure what you are looking for, but how about for fitness? Where we could try for more sets, or reps, or something?
Or set a minimum amount of weight to be lost during the month?
Set it as a contest, maybe?

Who's got an idea? Bring it on. Do you want something related to food or fitness? Think about it but not too long - Feb is a short month!
