Researchers conducted a study to determine what the best ab exercises are and have ranked them from best to worst. Find out if the ab work you've been doing is effective or if there might be a better exercise you can use in its place. Just keep in mind that ab exercises only strengthen your muscles and will not help you get a flat stomach.
