so true............
also just because your tsh and t4 test are fine doesn't mean you don't have thyroid issues..........you still need to get the t3 test done in order to make absolutly sure.........

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Another sign of hypothyroid (Hashimoto's) that is untreated -- or maybe when treatment is stopped (I have no idea) -- is severe itchy skin. A few years ago I ran out of synthroid and, because of depression, didn't go to or get in touch with my doctor. I was off the medication for nearly two years. In that time, in addition to hair loss, my arms and torso itched like crazy. I couldn't stop scratching, and welts came up all the time.
