Got alot of kitchen stuff done last night, and had a phone screen interview this morning that went well. To soon to know anything but it was a positive shot in the arm. Wanted to let you all know because many of you have been praying for me & employment & that I'd get a call back. I did! Thank you! Now to close the deal!! No interview set yet. I will drive, I will GLADLY drive, from Iowa to Maryland for the interview.

I need emergency prayer for supernatural favor with potential employer.

I have a temporary position in biotech I've applied for, a former coworker handed in my resume at the place she works. I'm overqualified, and the temp position is 6-18 months. They made me tell them how much I made before, which I think was the death knell. I told the truth and now they are not calling me back. They were supposed to call Thurs & didn't, Fri at noon my friend checked, she asked her boss if she'd had time to review my resume, boss said yes but she'd have to call Mon no time left today. Yesterday came and went with no call.

This would be the perfect job for me because it's in my field, it provides income while I job hunt, it gets my foot in the door, and they do hire alot of people that start as temp. It doesn't matter if I get paid less than before, because I'm debt free now and so I can live on much less. So if they did hire me permanently, or if they didn't, it is still the perfect situation for me, win-win either way.

Also I read another article in Yahoo today that said you are wasting your time applying online or in the mail, that stopped 10 years ago, you have to have someone hand in your resume in person. Of course Dave Ramsey says that too, plus of course I already knew that myself. But what's depressing is this is only situation I have where someone personally handed in my resume. So I really need them to call me back and give me a chance. I would be faithful to not leave them during the 6-18 months for another job, if they give me a chance.

Would you please pray for supernatural favor, and that they call me back? Thanks alot everyone.

Still praying for you all, but this time I have to ask for some prayers too.

Last week my sister found a lump in her breast. She went to the doctors and is now waiting to go see a surgeon. They said it was a fast growing lump, so best to remove then find out what it is.

Please if you could pray for my sister Jennifer, I'd really appreciate it! She is in her mid 30's and has 5 children. We all need this to be okay!

In FL. the only jobs seem to be in the medical field. I was considering going to school for Nursing assistants or physical therapy assistant. The training is a few months long but decided instead to take a course in real estate. The market is sure to get better. God Bless you Carol and I will keep you in my prayers. I'm hoping for a temporary position that is low paying in Maryland. It's the only job lead I have right now.

Was down last weekend and this week, let the job hunting get to me, but was back to my old self the latter half of this week. I know I can't let it get to me but sometimes it does.

I am job hunting days, and packing moving boxes nights and weekends.

I will move, with or without a job, by October 31st because this rental house I'm in has major heating issues.

I was bound by the lease to stay last winter, each bill came in higher and higher, I kept turning the heat lower and lower. Finally I was left wearing a parka, indoors, with 4 layers of winter clothes beneath. I did not undress nor take off the parka before getting into bed, and the thermostat on 50 degrees gave me a bill of $350.00. The only time I was warm last winter was in a hot bath (took lots of those!) and when I had my hands wrapped around a mug. My nose stayed cold, hot drinks became tepid very fast, the butter never melted except in the microwave, and I threw out some oil (sesame, olive) because I didn't recognize what I was looking at. I thought there was something wrong with the oil. Only later did I realize I wasted good oil; it was looking curdled because of the cold temperature of the house.

Where I'm emotionally conflicted is if I don't have a job when I move; I don't want to move without having a job to go to. How do you choose the destination, with a blindfold and a pen put on the map? So I'm feeling very very unsettled about that. I have one friend in Maryland, it is expensive to live there but probably because my friend is there I'll move there, or Texas, both states have biotech companies. She can't help me with a job or housing, but I could sleep on her couch for a week while I find a room to rent. I will probably have to rent a room, and keep my stuff in ministorage, as probably no apt will rent to me while unemployed.

In any situation, you have to count your blessings, thank Him for what He's done and what you have, consider those less fortunate, and trust in the Lord. He keeps his promises.

Thanks Rose & DKOMADIN. I'm thinking many people might need that list, unfortunately. Everyone I have prayed for to get a job, has one so I'll pray for your daughter.

No unemployment; I rent; I'm selling everything I have (which is not much) while I continue to look, and have made local contacts at churches and the local "Workforce" program. I have a 401K I don't want to cash out; one because the govt keeps almost half, and two because that doesn't solve the problem. So I will keep trusting God and I job hunt every day. I have not had to go to churches for food but I will if I have to.

HyVee has split chicken breast on sale for $ .88 lb this week, if you have a HyVee in your area.

I will be praying for your to get the right job soon!

Let me gently suggest the following to also pray about for your situation:
1. If you qualify, receive unemployment benefits while you continue your job search.
2. IF it has financially come to it, call the Salvation Army or a local facility that serves the community with updating job training for free, and/or has a hot meal program.
3. Contact your church and make an appointment to speak to the proper person who handles such needs that you state; perhaps they know of a job and/or have help programs in place that you can utilize to help.
4. Call the Chamber of Commerce in your town and ask them for help in locating local services that can help meet your situation.
5. If you own a home, perhaps you could rent a room to have a little bit of income. Of course, you would need to make sure you were in compliance with the City's regulations for taking in a renter, as well as any homeowner association rules. IF you would feel comfortable with a renter in your home; NEVER put yourself in a this arrangement if you are uncomfortable.

These are only suggestions and certainly need to be prayed about, but perhaps you have not thought of these things yet.

a friend of ours has 2 lung transplants. His lungs collapsed, had pockets of air (they weren't supposed to have, rejection...) He has been in the hospital since easter week. He is supposed to graduate from high school next week but will miss graduation. We just hope he gets well soon. If you could keep him in your prayers... the more prayers the merrier!

I am really having a problem with depression, I normally eat to make the depression go away. This time, I'm not wanting to eat. I have that terrible feeling in my stomach and it's affecting everything in my life. Watching the news on TV makes it worse. I am reading the Bible everyday and it helps for a little while.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

We have waited 3 weeks to get our tax forms back from the CPA with the "bad" news. We got it back today in the mail and for the first time in upteen years WE OWE $0 --SOOOO--NO NEED TO SELL THE 'MAN TOY'....which was my hubby's favotite passtime.

Be sure to file anyway even if you can't pay; there's a form to fill out & send in with (or efile with, whatever) to enter into a payment plan with IRS; go to IRS.gov. Then you avoid the humongous fees and penalties. And in the IRS's eyes, you will still remain "in compliance". Those are two VERY VERY IMPORTANT words that will save you thousands of dollars; remaining "in compliance".

Praise God, my mammogram came back well.
Please pray that our jobs continue to remain safe. We had layoffs at the office, and some of our friends lost jobs. Please pray for those in our country without jobs, and that our new President will have the chops to come up with an economic plan that will pull us out of this recession.

Hi Everybody!

I'm asking for prayers for everyone in the path of Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Hannah. It is just a few short hours now before Gustav is due to hit Louisiana. The town that I live in is housing many evacuees from there and South Texas. Our area is projected to get the heavy outer bands of weather produced by these storms; that means possible flooding, high winds and tornados. The local news is saying that power outages are possible. IF we do lose power/internet accessibility due to these storms, I will be back on as soon as possible.

I am a Christian and am trusting in Father God to protect us, shield us and deliver us. God is our refuge, our help in ever-present troubles.

Hi Louise!

I prayed for all of the things you listed just as soon as I read them.

I also noticed that in your signature line you have requested that God give you patience NOW! One of my favorite verses is Phillipians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse gives me such encouragement; I hope it too encourages you, especially as you go through all of the things you've listed. Thanks for giving me the privilege of praying for you more specifically!

Pray for my husband (Carl) that is not a Pastor but will be preaching tomorrow morning, because our Pastor will be out of state!

My neighbor Betty who is elderly and has severe back pain!

My husband who is in need of Eperdual shots for his back. But we are having a hard time getting JB Hunt to pay for his treatment.

My son is getting Married on the 10th of October, Pray that God blesses his wedding and their life together.
