Thanks. I struggle in December with all the disruption in normal rhythm and the early darkness and cold. It is hard to get out and walk and hard still to even walk or exercise at home. Gym activity tends to fall off during this month also.
I have made myself a promise years ago and sometimes even keep it to have the "busy part" of Christmas done by Thanksgiving and anything I have not completed by then will become a "January Gift."
I do try to see people I love but have a "want/have" to do list for parties and activities. Eliminating some of them and adding new ones can make my holidays easier to enjoy. Is this a party that I really want to attend or should attend? Do I need to have homemade neighbor gifts this year? Do I really have to make my traditional foods each year or can I do some one year and others another time?
My DIL likes to take her children to a local park that is lit for the holidays. We get out of the car and walk through the park. I remember driving through the park, but I go with her and we walk.
Thanks for the ideas to have a healthier December. It is one that I struggle to keep on track.
