It is fun to do this, especially if I've missed my steps during the day and want to get them before bed. It isn't as good a workout as walking on the street is, but there are many evenings I've walked the 51 steps between the back bedroom and the farthest point in the house. I would be happier walking outside for a short time, but would be hard late in the evening or when it is stormy. I guess we have to do what we need to do.
I do admit to walking in place while brushing teeth, peeling carrots, talking on the phone, even working on the computer. It still isn't as good as taking the poor dog on a walk.
