Where do you play soccer?

My O-40 team is in first place and we are on a 4 game winning streak!

I know that I am getting fitter. Visualization and no scale seems to be working for me this time...

My inner superhero seems to be putting up a better fight the last few days.

I'm staying away from the scale, but I know that I'm already getting fitter - walking less and running more...

Thanks! I'm on Day 19. Tracking is definitely key. Bad habits are hard to break, but visualizing myself on the soccer field at 210 lbs, might do the trick - faster, fit, able to focus on a shot after taking on a defender - playing better soccer and getting injured less frequently may just be the motivational nugget that I've been looking for!

DAY 8: Scored on a direct kick in our 3-2 victory yesterday. Then watched my son score a hat trick for his club team in their 6-0 victory.

I'm lowering my target on sleep and water to 7 hours and 7 cups. Once I can consistently hit 7, I'll push it to 8.

Also I'm going to start tracking my food starting today.

Yesterday, DAY 3, I missed on narrowly sleep and water, but did exercise and did get my 4 fruit/veg servings

Last night I only got 5 and a half hours of sleep, but today, DAY 4, I drank all 8 cups of water, Hooray! and scored 4 goals in my indoor game including a diving header. 5 servings of fruits/veggies today.

I feel good about this program - haven't stepped on the scale, but I feel successful doing things that I can directly control.

They say that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity, so I'm making some changes.

I'm going to stop weighing myself every day. As weigh fluctuates from day to day and its not completely in my control, I'm going to focus and track only the things I can directly control. Here are my daily goals:
1. get 8 hours of sleep
2. drink 8 cups of water
3. eat 4 servings of fruits or vegetables
4. exercise every day

I can track these 4 things. I'm confident if I can do these 4 things each day, I will get fit, lose weigh and have more fun playing soccer! I'm not going to try to track everything that I eat. Its too time consuming and then, when I don't do it, it feels like a failure.

Wish me luck!
