I'm doing good with walking; and have lost weight because of it.
I read the Life Plan thing; haven't done any more on that yet. Praying about it.
Haven't started 2012 Annual Goals yet. I know from previous experience NEVER wait til Thanksgiving to start; if they're not penciled and started to be fleshed out by then, I never get them done by Jan 1. So I need to start . . . but want to try the Life Plan approach first and drill down from there into 2012's . . .
I guess I need to have a penciled-in list for both, by October 25th. If I don't make it then I'll have a grace period until Nov 1 to get it done. Between Nov 1 and Thanksgiving, need to firm them up and flesh them out. They are like seedlings; I always have to thin them out to realistic proportions, which I can't do without all the groundwork being done first.
Get back to trying one new recipe a week About 50-50 with this one
Get back on track with cooking at home at least 5 nights a week Again about 50-50 with this one but more eating at home than not so that is a good thing. I need to get back to actually tracking this.
Be able to walk a 5k again by Halloween Doubtful this is going to happen but if I start now it may
Exercise at the gym at least 1x per week for the rest of the year. Ugh, so aggravated that we haven't been there. Hopefully after DH's dr appt today he will be more motivated to get to the gym but I shouldn't let him derail me on that. I just have been working so much it feels like I never have time but I know I need to make the time.
2. Eat Healthier ( by making better food choices and smaller portions ) and drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
3. Exercise 7 days a week a. Stretch Therepy 2x's a week b. Aqua Zumba 2x's a week c. Wii fitness my weekends a way.... fun and active
4. Strength Train 5 days a week a. Mon. - Fri. ( alternating uper and lower body workouts )
5. To have completed all the requirements to get Lapband Surgury done by Dec. 2011
I know its alot but I really am looking forward to it.. I know that the weight I have didnt happen over night and it will not go a way over night.. If a fit and healthier me is what I want then it is worth fighting for... I hope that everyone here acheives their goals here and in life. Have a great day.

Co-Leader of the "Walk At Home Team" Anyone walking at home with Leslie Sansone or other walking fitness program come and join us.
Oo good challenge. I am just starting to get back to normal after my surgery a few weeks ago so I really need to slowly work my way back into exercising. Eating right sort of went out the window because my meal pattern is messed up again.
My goals for the 4th quarter so far are:
Get back to trying one new recipe a week
Get back on track with cooking at home at least 5 nights a week
Be able to walk a 5k again by Halloween
Exercise at the gym at least 1x per week for the rest of the year.
Woman's Day has some nice crockpot recipes this month. Can't wait to try a couple.
Monday Madness for me was Corned Beef and cabbage in my crockpot. I use my crock every Monday as once I get home from school, there's cheer, dance etc and we don't get home til after 8..and have like 45 minutes to eat. No time for cooking there...so having the crock pot every Monday is a REQUIREMENT!!
starting to feel much better, but my tummy is still a bit rumbly off and on...very very wierd.
For me I want to continue sane, lots-of-produce-eating, now right through the new year. I did well last year, and want to do even better this year. I want to increase vegetables in my diet. Since I have alot of staples I've decided to just buy produce for the foreseeable future, and spend 90% or higher of my grocery dollars on produce.
I am already working on putting exercise as 1st priority in my day after God, instead of the day's demands crowding it out (so easy to do since I don't enjoy exercise, and, I'm not AT ALL a morning person). I hope to have made noticeable change, noticeable progress on the exercise front by Jan 1.
For Crocktober yes I'll do seasonal recipes but mostly broth-based, maybe one or two stews or chowders thrown in - mostly saving those calories for when they're really needed, such as Thanksgiving and the deep cold of January. I don't do Weight Watchers, but some of the Weight Watchers recipes are really great - and taste really good.
Hope to hear lots of good ideas from you all. What are you doing or want to do for 4Q11?
The fourth quarter of 2011 (4Q11) starts in a week.
Looking forward to the 4 remaining months of the year, what would you like to accomplish in your personal life before the Fall & Winter Holidays start, and before 2012 starts?
And food-wise, do you have plans for Crocktober? September is the transition month, but many are already getting out their crock pots to help deal with time management issues from school starting up, as well as football etc.
