I would lean more toward thinking the "Buddy" is just a way to support each other on our spark journey not necessarily with gardening. Even though you are a novice gardener, you could share about your gardens and what you are growing this year. Think about it for next month. I like the idea of the "scary looking" owls at each end of the garden. Very clever!
I am by no means an expert. Everything I have learned, I learned from other gardeners, books on gardening, and my own mistakes.
Nice to meet you and best wishes to you on your spark journey.

I am such a novice gardener that I felt it would be unfair to enter the "Buddy Project" at this time. I would have no answers and hundreds of questions. I started small with my gardening project this year, and I spend lots of time on the Internet searching for answers. So far, so good. My stuff looks pretty good although I do see signs of something eating some of my leaves. It's some sort of insect, as I have managed to scare away the little animals by putting a couple of scary looking owls on shepherds hooks at each end of my garden. Kinda' tacky looking, but the rabbits, squirrels and other little critters are terrified of them. Anyway, good luck with the buddy system and maybe I can jump in sometime later when I feel that I can contribute to, rather tan being a drain on, the group. Good luck to everyone with your gardens. At this point I'm looking for more ways to use the bags and bags full if leaf lettuce that I harvest every few days! LOL

Hello Kay! If my garden buddy doesn't mind we can be a trio if you can't find a garden buddy. I can use all the advice I can about gardening starting with our cherry trees. They are so huge and the cherries are so small and barley ripening. It was suggested that we need a male pollinator, but it had blooms. We are certain that there is somehow incomplete pollination somewhere, just not sure, help? Glad you are felling beter Kay.Happy Gardening to you all! Diana
I KNOW IT IS LATE BUT I HAVE SO SICK THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO RESPOND. IF ANY ONE STILL NEEDS A BUDDY I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE . THANK YOU KAY

Thanks so much CraftyC. I just sent you an e-mail then saw this post. It is both good to see and hear from you.
I think Friday or Saturday night will be perfect.

Hi, everyone! We'll give a couple more days for people to respond and I'll get out a buddy list either Friday night or Saturday morning. Look for it then so you can get connected and have most of the month. Remember - if you mutually wish, you don't have to drop your buddy after only a month. Continue to stay in touch! Monthly Buddies can be simply a starting point for friendships!

Next month for me . . . I'm interested but don't have time in June.

I would love one too but can't we make it for more than one month? It seems that by the time we figure out who they are and contact them, the month is over!
