Friday tip: Use dish soap in clogged toilets: To unclog a toilet, add half a teaspoon or less of dish soap to the bowl. Wait an hour to flush and /or use a plunger. It usually works on the first try- so you may avoid calling a plumber or using a snake.

Friday tip: Denim care tip If you want to keep hue true, always wash inside out with cold water. You can also use a detergent formulated to prevent fading, such as woolite extra dark care. Heat fades,so skip the dryer and hang jeans to dry. If you don't like the stiff feel that air- drying leaves, pop them in the dryer fro 5 minutes when they're almost dry.

Friday tip: Whether you're in your kitchen or eating out, accidents happen. and even a little bit of oil can leave a mark that'll make you think twice about wearing that blouse, those pants,or that dress ever again.. But if you act fast, you'll never retire another garment! Just sprinkle bay powder, corn starch,or facial powder on the oil stain immediately, and let it dry. Give the garment a few shakes to dislodge the powder and the grease will be gone too! How it work? The powder absorbs the oil, literally pulling it out of the fibers of your garment. It's amazing!

Friday tip: Walk like a penguin .Gotta cross an icy parking lot to get to your car? Try the technique recommended by the U.S. Army: Bend your knees a little, point your toes out slightly, and extend your arms out to your sides- then very short steps or walk with a flat- footed shuffle, keeping your center of gravity over your feet ( not leaning in any direction.)

Soup or coffee cans: Brush on a coat of red paint and wrap a black dog collar around the middle to create a santa-suit flower vase. A fern or small tree would look beautiful in it...

Friday tip: White nails without the manicure! If you're a fan of the natural look or the French Manicure, brush your fingernails with whitening toothpaste. While you're at it,try your toenails too. This alternative self- pampering treatment costs much less than a professional manicure or pedicure and you won't have to be afraid of damaging your nail polish!

Friday tip: Vinegar beats peanut butter in a gum contest! Peanut butter and olive oil a very messy way to get chewing gum out of someone's hair. Instead, try vinegar start by heating a bowl of vinegar in the microwave, then dip the hair ( with gum) in the bowl. The warm vinegar acts as a solvent and gently dissolves the gum. It's that easy! You may need to repeat a couple of times to remove the gum completely, reheating your vinegar as necessary, but results are quick, gentle, and significantly less messy!

Friday tip: Here are a few uses of coffee filters? Fill a coffee filter with baking soda, tie it with some twine or what ever and stuff them in sneakers.
The other one is: When my kids were little, eating popsicles was sticky and messy affair. Instead of having them eat their summer time treat naked ( to avoid extra laundry), I poked a hole in the bottom of a coffee filter, inserted the popsicle and let them have at it.
I also use coffee filter to line the bottom of my flower pots keep the soil from coming out!
and I am sure you may have some more ideas or tips how to use coffee filters so if you do please let us hear of them too? Thank you all for continuing to keep coming back to this post. I just love doing the posts so much and as long as I got you coming back I will continue again many thanks friends.

Due to computer problems was not able to post my tip so I am doing it today instead: Tackle spilled food in the oven right away by pouring table salt over it. The salt will form a crust that makes the food easy to wipe up. it also reduces the burning smell too.

My husband puts his used coffee grounds and tea leaves on our plants and they seem to like it. I think it's a natural fertilizer for them. They thrive on it.

With gas prices steadily increasing here are a couple tips I rec'd on saving at the pump that I thought I'd pass along. Never get gas if you see the fuel truck there filling in the underground tanks. More vapors/air is present during this time and you'll get less gas. Also, never use the setting on the nozzle that lets you get gas without holding the lever, you get less gas and more vapors this way too. And, the earlier in the day that you can get your gas, the more gas for your money because as the day heats up the gas evaporates some.

I hope I havenn't already shared this one.

Keep from watering down your punch by making ice from some of your punch and putting that ice in your punch bowl instead of regular ice made with water. You'll keep your punch cold without watering it down. Good for iced tea too.

Friday tip: Used dish soap in clogged toilets! To unclog a toilet, add half a teaspoon or less of dish soap to the bowl, wait an hour to flush and / or use a plunger. It usually works on the first try-- so you may avoid calling a plumber or using a snake!
