I've ALWAYS been confused for younger, even with weight gain and my thinking I look older.

Now, most are familiar with the stereotype of the Caribbeans looking super youthful. When I vacationed with my kids down there a few years ago, those islanders thought that I was the older sister of my kids!

I LOVED THAT!

To look like I'm in my late twenties/early thirties is one of my exercise goals for sure.

"Success is doing all the things you don't want to do in order to achieve the the things you want to have."

Thanks for the tips!
I am 57 and get the " I don't believe it" from alot of people. They think Iam in my 40's or less?
My grandma& great g-ma& mom looked young so it probably has something to do w/ genes.
I do think eating good& stopped smoking 4 yrs ago when I saw lines around my mouth( gone now).
I notice the chin dropping some. I always have my stylist cut my hair a little past my chin.
Can't wait to start these excersizes.

Good genes, eating right and not smoking sure helps, but anything that will keep my chin from becoming more than one, I am all for trying. Especially at age 58 trying to lose weight, I fear all this skin will start heading south, certainly don't want my face heading south sooner than it has to.

This made me giggle. I am often mistaken for more than a decade younger. I think, in my case, it's a combination of anti-oxidant rich foods, lucky genetics, and spending my days around kids.

Some face exercises I do are,...... try to pull your facial muscles back to your ears or wiggle yours ears with just your facial muscles not with your hands.
Next one is for your neck. Look to your left, head tilted upwards, you should feel the pull in your neck, hold ten seconds repeat on the right side. For a variation of this exercise jut your bottom jaw out while doing them.

FUN! Yoga has you do "lion roar"
You literally ROAR, & really flex all the muscles in your face then stick your tongue out at the end!
Its fun too!

I have done some sort of facial exercise for years, felt silly when I started, but feel I am reaping the rewards as people simply do not beleive me when I tell them I am nearly 54 yrs old. I always tease that fat fills in the wrinkles, but well it is nice to look younger than your years.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF FACE EXERCISES BEFORE. I TRIED THESE AND IT FELT SILLY BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT FELT GREAT. emoticon

I haven't really done any face exercises, can you tell......lol I tried the one where you look up and stick your tounge out, and boy I could feel it. And I need to work on this double chin BAD...lol

I do the one where you stick out your lower jaw while exhalling and lean your head back then tilt your head forward and allow your jaw to relax as you inhall. I think I'll add yours as well. Thanks.

Just for fun, these are supposed to exercise the muscles in your face and neck to "help you look younger". No guarentees....

Neck/Throat Exercise

Sit upright, tilt your head back looking at the ceiling, while keeping your lips closed and relaxed. Open your lips and stick your tongue out
as if you were trying to touch your chin with the tip of your tongue.
Keep your tongue out in this position for 10 counts, and then return
your tongue and head to its normal position.

Eye Exercise
Sit upright with your eyes closed and relaxed. Keep your eyes closed
while lifting your eyebrows and stretching your eyelids down as far as
possible. Keep in this position for 5 counts, relax and repeat 5 times.

Forehead Exercise
Lie on your bed facing the ceiling your head hanging over the edge.
Lift your eyebrows as high as possible, with your eyes opening very wide.
Relax and repeat 10 times.
There are tons more exercises you can do. In fact, once you get the
hang of it you can make up your own.
