It's official now, November 8 I did my 4th dive to complete my open water certification. WHAT A BLAST! Wish I would have done scuba years ago. I started down scuba road in my late teens but then life happened, the dream was derailed. Oh well, at 51 I'm not getting younger and it's not to late to start.
So last Sunday as I'm ascending a vertical wall from 60' in the Puget Sound, Hood Canal (brrrr 54 degrees) I look up and see a school of fish swim overhead back lit against the surface. The defining moment and what a rush! This was after seeing two Giant Pacific Octopus and a Wolf Eel with a huge head. It was worth the wait and I can't wait to go again.
Here's a link to my facebook pictures (my instructor reluctantly let me take my camera down)
