KISSIETAZ2 & I live South of Holland, but dive mostly warm waters. Kiss doesn't like wearing a wet suit and I (Weenie diver) wear a 7mil even in the caribbean. We did a shore dive at Pier Cove last Fall though, out to the submerged pier pilings. All of 11 feet. Gull Lake sounds interesting, can you dive it in summer or is the boat traffic too hectic?

Julie, I live in Waukesha, which is just west of Milwaukee, WI. Kinda across lake Michigan! If you ever get over to this side, we have some wrecks over here in Lake Michigan that are interesting. There is one other person on here that lives in Michigan, but I just can't remember who the heck it is! Follow Michela's advice and post in the lounge and I'm sure that person will speak up!
I am a person of infinite possibilities and dreams.

Wish I could help you on this one Julie. But if you are ever in the Brockville, Ontario area I could meet up with you there for some wreck diving.
I would post this in the Narced Divers lounge too, where it is more visible to the whole team. Hope you hook up with someone to buddy with. Have you been on Scubaboard? Great place to also meet some dive buddies in your local area.
Good luck doll!

I live in Michigan (lower peninsula) and I was wondering if any other divers are in the area. I am going to want a sub-aquatic break from summer classes but I don't know a lot of local dive buddies. Post here if anyone else is looking for dive buddies or if you have suggestions for some fun summer dives around the midwest. I live on Gull Lake in the summer which is gorgeous, but you get excited about the same drop-off just so many times a year.
Challenge yourself today, and tomorrow you will thank yourself. That's a promise. You ARE worth the commitment.
