I can't say for you however, I know when I reach the amount I should lose I will just know. I will feel right. I find that if I alternated my calorie intake it helps me get the weight loss train rolling. I will drop to 1200 calories one week then back up to 1500. It works.
I have lost about 35 pounds. I lost 20 the first year and I wanted to lose 40 this year. However, I think now that goal is unrealistic. I have only lost three pounds in the last six weeks, I have upped my exercise and I think that short circuited the weight loss. I have lost 18 pounds this year, so maybe 30 pounds is more realistic than 40.

I did it! I took an vacation day this past week and set a goal of 600 exercise minutes. I did it! I was really pretty happy to get back to work, for the relaxation! I feel really good about that and have all new respect for people who rack up the BIG numbers every week.

I have been 2 lbs. away from goal for the last 2 months. Just can't cross that barrier. I'm certainly not thin, but never have been. I am just halfway between the weight recommended by a clinic I went to several years ago and Spark People, but am determined to get to lower weight. I can see maintenance will be very difficult for me at 1200 to 1400 calories.
