Hello all!! My goal for the month of June is 70 miles. I know it is July but I wanted to make sure I posted my mileage for June since I did actually exceed my goal. I've still been running despite the fact that I've been MIA on here.

I'm new to Spark People and keep starting and dropping off because no one is watching me. The motivation just isn't there. It seems that joining a message board will give me that feeling of watchful eyes that I don't want to dissapoint.

I've also just started training for a mini marathon that's scheduled for August 29th. I joined a group recently that's training for this marathon, but it's hard.

This group seems really friendly and helpful so I thought I'd join up.. :)

I'll have to set a specific goal besides "run 4 days per week starting June 22nd". Anyways, June's mileage:

Goal: 110 miles -- threw my back out, off 3 days I didn't intend to be off, and who knows if I'll be back up and running tomorrow? I'm bummed because I don't think I can/should cram 20 miles into the next three days. Grrr...guess we'll just see how it goes until the end of the month.

June 19-28 - Away at Church Campmeeting - unable to log in my miles - but did run some. I ran a few days of 3-4.5 miles a run at a total of 13 miles running. Now walking, I put in a lot of miles walking, so I am going to add about 7 miles for that, I am sure I did a lot more! emoticon

This will leave me about 28.13 more to go!

Unfortunately, I will not hit my goal this month - but that's okay - there is always next month!


Goal for June was 85+ miles put in!

Hello all!! My goal for the month of June is 70 miles. I did sign up for the 5-mile run on Sunday. I ran outside last night and made it about 5 miles. My only real problem was that my mouth was incredibly dry! I'm trying to think of potential solutions to that problem before Sunday. Of course, they will have water stations set up to use but I might pick up some Sport Beans ahead of time too.
