Cougar - don't get discouraged. With all that running you are building muscle in those legs. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. How are your measurements looking?

Do NOT give up, just step it up a notch--and try measuring. We can do this one step at a time. Each journey is filled with straightways, mountains, valleys and plateaus. Keep moving to reach your destination. I am here rooting for you!

I did not respond b/c I am up and very bewildered about it. I now weigh 298.6, which means that I gained 4 pounds. I will keep posting though.

To answer your ?...for me I walk @ least 1 mile every day and when I have time it is addicting and I get almost 2.5 - 3. I am w/ you that the day is hectic but now that I have a streak of over forty days I don't want to wreck it. Have you checked your library for a more current exercise video to follow or even the videos on Spark to follow.

I will try to think of some other ideas today and contact you later.

Does anybody have any tips on motivation to exercise? Please keep in mind, I am not a morning person and when I exercise at night I suffer from insomnia. Work with commute takes 10 hours out of my day. So I know I NEED to exercise in the morning, but the motivation is not there...

Lost 3 lbs to get to a current weight of 296.6

Way to go everyone that is posting! We have all lost or stayed within a pound of our previous weight. Use this as a stepping stone to the next level.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Lets try to as a team lose 10 lbs per month. Considering only a few of us are posting, and we can adjust this # as time goes by.

I know that I want to lose about 100 lbs total so this would also be a great accountability goal.

Today 130.4

Still no change. But my cholestor results came in and for the first time in several years my number that always hover just over 200 came in under 200!

Sounds like lots of folks have similar issue with the scale stubbornly not moving! I think if we can stay focused through this, we'll see the scale cooperate.

Nice job on those that are seeing losses.

My starting weight was 130.4.
This week it went bak to 130.4 after going up slightly.

Since I used my pass last week it looks like I'm really out this time. I was at the doctor this morning and she said the plateau isn't a surprise after losing more than 10% of my initial body weight and it may take a few weeks here before I start seeing a change on the scale - she sees the overall change and was very pleased. So no giving up and no dropping my calorie count lower.

Fogot about the pass. I certainly am not discouraged - I've gotten positive feedback the past few weeks on how great I look and the envious asking how I've lost it. Now that I'm more than half way to my goal the remaining weight is being much more stubborn. But my measurements are still improving as is my fitness and energy levels. This lifestyle isn't just about that stupid scale!

Monday Jan 11.

Well I'm out already.

Start weight:: 130.4
Today's weight: 130.6

My body is trying to adjust to my change in routine from maintaining (what I did from Thanksgiving to New Year's for my goal) to weight loss. I stayed close to calorie count all week and got 4 short workouts in plus walking to and from the bus stop. I think my weight shows the very slight gain as I build muscle back up again. I don't feel bad about the results on the scale because I can feel the improvements in other ways.

For those of you that are not sure how this works.

The Gameplay:

This is a game where we start out as a group, weigh in, and work hard to stick to our programs to see consistent weight loss. Each week, we will weigh in and those that maintain or lose each week will continue on in the competition for another week. If any of us gain weight during the course of a week, we will take our seat in the cheering section! If you forget to post one week, you also get to join the cheering section. After a period of time we should eventually see the numbers dwindle (I hope not) until there is ONE PLAYER LEFT STANDING! This player will be the winner of LOOW Round 1!

SOoooo... let's get started by posting our starting weights by Friday, January 1st thru Monday, January 4th. The weigh-in day you choose will be YOUR weigh-in day every week.

I am up for any suggestions for a "Prize of Sorts." Although it must be within reason.

So, let's all have some fun and see who ends up being the Last One Out!!
