Hello How are you doing and are you meeting your goal(s)? I hope you are staying and doing well. I am sorry that I have not been online or in the team rooms. I have been sick since Friday. I felt so weak, could not eat, having the chills, and not even out of bed. I am here now for you all. My son left back to college that night (Friday) and we had a good visit. He looked really good even if he had a beard (or facial hair) as you can see on my page. We all cried after he got on the bus and he will not be back until May again. Well, I'm back now and feeling a little better. It's quiet again even though I have the radio or TV on. I was not ready to let go again, but I know he's doing good. Have not checked in here lately; love all of the new profile pics!
Hope all are doing well, with the weight lsoses as well as surname searches! Have not been at the genes thing lately either; have been getting my scrappin' room ready to go! Have about another week to go yet, but, will be ready, willing and able to get to everything for some serious scrappin time this fall/winter! FOR ME!!!!!!!

I feel quite proud of myself this week. I've kept track of my food in the diary, upped my water (but it's hard when it's cold outside I want a nice cup of tea!) and exercised Monday and Tuesday.

It IS amazing how much it helps to keep track of my foods eaten! I have also been bad this past week. I made some fudge with nuts, and it was irrestible! Now, back to work!

Yes, it does help to check in occasionally or for me frequently. I have some pretty ambitious goals so I will be here looking for support and maybe even a little kick in the seat of the pants occasionally. I weighed in this morning and I am up 1.4 pounds from before vacation. If I am down by Friday no harm no problem if not... well, back to work with me.

Just got the team digest, thought twice before opening it, but so glad I did and seeing this thread I again realise - I'm not alone. Sparks is wonderful for that, so OK friends here we go. My aim this year was no to put on any weight, and so far almost managed it (2lbs up on Jan 1st). I know that sounds daft but since being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis I've been putting on a stone a year, so it's a start. I need to get back to recording what I eat - for me it's the portion sizes for sure, and a bit of comfort eating, and very little exercise. Will check in regularly from now on Take care all Wazz

I haven't weighed lately, maybe 2 weeks ago - life gets busy! But I can FEEL my tummy slimming up a little. I can actually pull in my tummy muscle, and it feels as if it's tightening up a little!

I've been rather lax with my food log but I want to get back on track. My daughter stopped by after work today and she's been very good about her eating and exercise and it certainly shows. She's lost over 23 pounds...I want to be just like her.

I missed this thread. I've been on a plateau for about a month and only losing 1/2# a week before that. While I'm eating right, I know I've gotten lazy in my measuring & just eyeballing it. I'm going to begin measuring because those heaping tablespoons instead of a level one add up.
Another team I'm on is going to assign all of those who want one a buddy who we will be accountable for 1 month. Then we will get a new buddy. I think this is a great idea.

I'm beginning to get reorganized after my 2-1/2 week vacation. Actually restarting something after being away can be much better as not just the "good" things go by the wayside but some of the dull, routine/"rut" things do too so one has a chance to change things around a bit and look over a situation in a new way and make needed changes one may not see when plodding along.

OK, Kikismommy and Reesiskid, I'm abolsutely positively today going to start consciously looking at what I'm eating and when I'm eating and how much I'm eating. Because I have gained in the last month and that's the first time I've done that since I started this all back in the end of July 2006.
and I KNOW it's because I've just gotten lax about eating too late at night and just that bit too much. So - starting to think again!!

I don't know what to tell you all. My doctor tell me that she believes that I am about to hit that wall also. I have lost 110 pounds so far this year but I am hoping that I can continue to the end of the year. Then I will be where I need to be. But I have also plateaued in the past and sometimes it lasted six months. All I can say is hang on. This to shall pass.

I have been off track for a while. I haven't gained any weight but I haven't lost either. I decided to huddle which I used to do all the time but stopped. Seeing the goals for this team motivated me to start joining in again. I have set new goals for myself (much smaller ones but a beginning). Thanks to the team for helping me out.
