I also walk in my neighborhood, and it's especially dangerous where the roads curve...drivers fly by like there's no tomorrow. Once someone tried to do that while there were kids in the road, the mother heard the car coming, ran into the street stopped the car (you could hear the brakes screech), and then gave the driver such a telling off! It was good for the soul. :)

As a walker and runner on my suburban streets, I know this one to be fact!

We look to see what we have done
Where we have been, What's come and gone
We watch as others run nilly willy
Up at arms looking so silly
As we breathe deeply and do exhale
We smile a knowing little tale
Of times gone by When we had test
Our patience, health and all the rest
We tried so much our sanity too
To make it work to get our dues
And now we smile that knowing smile
The one that says we've been here a while

Hi everyone

I am so sorry to have been MIA... it was supposed to be vacation and My daughter ended up in the hospital for 10 days... I was working OT for vacation and school clothes and ended up with bronchitis.... then # dear people who affected my life at different stages died all in one week.... the last who was the most recent I am still having a hard time with she took us in under her wing like a momma and loved us and nurtured us... She I will miss and really hurt for... But we must go on. Still no internet at home but that will come with time just not right now So I apologize for not doing any readings and not getting back sooner.... I am really sorry.... I hope you have all been healthy and feeling loved by all.... I know through all of this I still felt blessed and the luckiest person alive... I have great kids and incredible friends... And I have made some new friends for life as well ... Now if I could only drop the weight that would be oh so lovely.... Well back to work!

Goddess bless hope to be full swing soon...
OMG thanks for the funnies!! lovely

Hahaha! Yes thank you much for that! The one that really got me was this one:

* Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, 'I think I'll squeeze these dangly things and drink whatever comes out?'

See I grew up in cattle country so it hit home and I nearly laughed out loud, REALLY loud, in a public library! LOL Oooohhh good stuff!

Peace and Blessings,
Irish

oh my gosh, THANK YOU
for my morning giggle, these two did the trick

* In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

* How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

PONDERING

* I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

* There are two kinds of pedestrians: the quick and the dead.

* Life is sexually transmitted.

* Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

* The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

* Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

* Have you noticed since everyone has a camcorder these days no one talks about seeing UFOs like they used to?

* Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

* All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

* In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

* How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

* Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, 'I think I'll squeeze these dangly things and drink whatever comes out?'

* If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a song about him?

* If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from?

* Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?

* Does pushing the elevator button more than once make it arrive faster?

* Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?
