Happy to hear you'll try the journal. I agree that I need all the support I can get too. So nice to know we are not alone in this journey.

I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.

thanx for the idea ;) I hope we can keep giving each other good ideas! I need all the suport i can get and im here for anyone else who needs suport!

I like to write my food/exercise entries in a journal. It's something about actually writing it down that keeps me focused. I use my laptop for everything else so it's nice to take a pen to paper and flip through the pages sometimes. Good for you though if you like the Spark tracker. Maybe I'll give it a go at some point.

I've made it a goal to utilize that tool and I figured if who evers doing it took an intrest in one anothers trackers that would motivate us to do it and also to think about our choices... although yesterday I was with in calorie rang but had too many homemade nachos & cheese, lol. Today I'm trying to be better though ;) also knowing which friends are doing the tracker and sharing it on their sparkpage saves me time from having to search among my sparkfriends lol.

G'luck to us all in our efforts. I know it will pay off if we stick to it. I've found that even if I cant get it exactly right if I get it as close as possible it at least reminds me what i'm doing. And if i dont have time in the evening im just going back the next day and trying my best to add what I can remember (but my goal is to keep up on it through out the day at least before bed) Ive for that by doing this the last couple days Ive really paid attention to what Im eating too!

I don't mind sharing my tracker, although I must admit it really hasn't been complete for the past couple of months. Which explains why I gained a couple of pounds. One of my goals for June is to be totally honest with myself about what I am eating. EVERYTHING tracked.

Persevere. Even if you fall on your face, you have moved forward.

I'm also trying to keep it consistent. I'm going to try really hard to DO IT everyday and for everything. I was very dedicated last year but this year I've slipped back into bad habits and neglecting my eating and such - that's how I've gained back 15 lbs!

Great idea!

I tried to use the Spark food tracker for awhile, but it is too cumbersome. I count diabetic exchanges, so having to convert everything to their system is too hard. I have suggested to Spark that have an exchange counter; they aren't copyrighted so it could be done, but I think their database is all calorie based.

I have been keeping little books for so long it is second nature.

I had a sort of aha moment a little while ago. I was logging in my food, like they tells us to do, and my fitness and I thought- 'I wonder who else is doing this???' so I started searching for others that are doing this. I found a couple but it seemed sparatic - LIKE MINE, lol, and that's when it occurred to me that if we actually knew other people are really looking at our trackers then maybe we would have the desire to be more involved with them.

I dont know about anyone else, but when I go to a sparkfriends shared tracker: A.) I feel like I'm learning something about them, getting to know them better &
B.) If they've made progress I feel like maybe I can see those lil' secrets that are helping them along the way!

Anyways, I just wanted to say that I'm trying to find other things to get and keep my mind off of... other things and this seems to be as good if not one of the bests ways to do that. So I'm going to try REALLY hard to keep up on my trackers~ I can't promise you'll always like what you see~ but it WILL be honest
emoticon

PS
I was hoping that I might inspired others to do this with me and then we can all peek every now and then at each others progress and routines, maybe learn about one another and from one another. Have a happy Tuesday!
