oh no... I gained 2.6 lbs. How the heck did that happen? Well I leave tomorrow for 2 weeks and I don't know how I will do. I will try to watch what I eat, and I will try to log my food when I have a computer handy. NOW do I have to un cut 2.6 blocks???? LOL

Started another scrappy block....scrappy log cabin. I made one about a year ago and loved it, so a scrappy log cabin block along with my house block will be 2 of my 3.8 blocks!

You know, in the modern quilts, they tend to piece the backs with extra blocks or strips and mostly solid. So that will be okay. Carol

I just made some progress on stash reduction! I found a medallion mystery quilt challenge online and decided to try that out. I've never done a mystery quilt and I've been wanting to work on a medallion quilt from start to finish (I've done borders on quite a few round robbin quilts with my quilt guild.) By the time this quilt is finished I will have used about 12 yards of fabric. I've really been trying to avoid buying any new fabric, but I did have to purchase 2 yards to meet the requirements of this challenge (oh well, progress not perfection)--Oh, and this doesn't even count the backing which I swear will come out of my stash, even if I have to piece together fabrics which don't really match the front.

I started a quilt this week that has 25 blocks with curved piecing. That is just about the weight I want to lose and I have until November to complete it! I have five blocks started and have lost that much. Whoo HOO! I will officially declare it as my Diet Quilt. Everytime I work on it I will see it as a success! Got to stay away from those cookies! ah, just a question.... If we lost and made our blocks (I have lost but don't have the blocks done yet....what else is new???) and then we gain.....Do we take a block apart? Please say NO I had to rip things out.

I lost two pounds this week and then last night, we went to our favorite mexican restaurant and this morning, it seems they came back. But all I have to do is watch what I eat for the next few days and they will go away again. This is what weight loss is about , lose and regain, lose and regain again, and then finally lose it for good. Just have to keep at it. I am not changing my ticker because I know those 2 pounds will be permanent. CArol

Okay no block this week. I lost 2 tenths of a pound....not complaining after the week of calories I had, I am doing a dance of joy. I did not gain. Now must buckle down and get back on track.

My problem exactly, Beverly! I lost 3 pounds in January and this morning, admittedly through my own fault, I've found them again. I guess it's a good thing I hadn't gotten around to cutting out my squares yet. Sigh . . . . . . I'll try to do a better job of losing them so they can't find me again this month!

I lost 4.7 lbs and have kept it off. Been sick and could not exercise. But I hope Feb is a better month and I can get back to the gym. Made 2 blocks yesterday. Carol

I lost 1.5 lbs in January, not bad with the traveling, so I will make 1 block and start another! Woo Hoo. I think the 1st block I will make will be a house!
