I went to my 1st Zumba class. I could only do 30 minutes....but boy was it ever fun!!!
I woke up from a beautiful dream and found out I was NOT Oprah!! I had to clean (no maid) AND cook (no chef)!!! Life can be a bummer!! LOL I think they call it exercise!!!

Ha all you gorgeous grannies out there - what you all doing? I think we need a challenge here !! I would like to see EVERYONE here tell me that they did SOME AMOUNT of walking at least 3 times this week!!! I did 1 mile of Leslie Samsone's tape and I did the open V of pilates(just one). That pilates will kick your 'hind end'.

Way to go BKB, that is a major hurdle just to "do it".. I plan to start walking tomorrow, I had to get a cortisone shot in my knee a week ago and the dr. suggested I wait a week before trying to walk. So tomorrow a.m. I am going to be walking with my Leslie Sansone dvd..and will report in..My company is gone, so I will start doing more with this team and we are going to do it together..

Good Morning you gorgeous grannies, I finally made my self get on the treadmill yesterday. It was a rainy cold day outside. I did my 60 Min's and got 3 miles in. Wooohoo, I DID IT! Okay, I'm proud of myself. LOL. I want to get at least 60 Min's 5-6 days a week on that treadmill. Good Luck with your exercise!

Hi, welcome back! Now that the weather is gorgeous, lets get out and enjoy the fresh air and commit to at least 60 minutes of some sort of exercise each day!! I am really on track these days and its because I keep up the exercise. It is way to easy to not do anything, but I can tell in my weight when I do that. Make sure we track such things as cleaning, raking, and mowing! Lets all keep each other going, the hardest time of the year for me is Winter!!!! Let's GO!

Exercises for People over 50
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight our from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.
Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position For just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-LB potato sacks. Then try 50-lbs potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-ib potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level.)
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks
