Happy Friday Everyone!!

I just wanted to drop a line before the end of this challenge. First of all, thanks to everyone who has been involved and working soooo hard!! I have found some much encouragement and inspiration from this group!! BIG HIGH FIVES TO ALL!!!!!! Second, I want to thank Terri for keeping us all "in line" even in the midst of her chaos (albeit organized chaos) - LOL! Finally, I want to ask EVERYONE to please send some ideas for a new rotation for the next challenge. I will not have internet next week (except for work), so I will be starting a new rotation/challenge officially the following week. I am also hopeful the new Cathe DVD's will arrive by that time....did anyone else order them??

Anyway, I am very proud of myself today as I managed to get up and do BodyMax 2 Cardio Premix, even though I was going to take the day off. I didn't workout yesterday morning because I had a zillion things to do before work, so I figured I wouldn't be exercising over the next 4-5 days - other than moving everything I own. :P I ate at Wendy's last night - YUK - and not even a "good choice" from the menu. I had a FRIED chicken sandwich and a LARGE order of FF - haven't done that in YEARS!!! LOL. I am down 2 lbs this morning (go figure), but I have been working like a madwoman and really didn't eat much else yesterday. Soooooooo.......for the next challenge I am also going to try to get my eating back under control and get back to cooking!

Ok...that's all of my rambling. Thanks again everyone and have a fantastic weekend! See you all in the next challenge!!

Cheryl emoticon

Terri - I'm with you!! I have been sooooo busy between work and setting up the new house, and I have been too exhausted to even look at the computer by the time I am done at night! I think my official move "mostly everything" date will be this Sat/Sun.

Hi to everyone else!! You are all kicking butt on this challenge. emoticon

I hope to be back in full force pretty soon. Also, I will have no internet next week at home because they need to come on Friday the 19th to run the wires, so I will check in when I can.

I've been so busy with MoveMax.

I'm working 10-12hr days and packing on my 'free time'.

I don't spend much time on the PC these days, but am definitely getting myself worked out and thinking of you all !!

The rest of this month will be a blur....but I'll definitely be back to FOCUS in December.

I'll set up the Challenge #10 thread (maybe tomorrow) so it'll be here when it's time to start.

Hope everyone is having a great REST WEEK.....
(no rest for me, but I did leave out 2 yoga videos to keep me stretched. All my other workouts/equipment are in totes....ready to move down the road. :o)

Hi Everyone!!

Michele - I'm sooooo jealous!!! That's awesome you were able to take a class with Cathe!! :-)

I am still working like a madwoman on the new house, but hopefully I will start moving some things at the end of this weekend.

Today was cardio and I did IMax 3 and abs from MIS. I really still don't love IMax 3, but I did get a good work out, so I guess that's all that counts!

Sorry I don't have more time for personals, but hopefully once I am moved you guys will not be able to shut me up!!

Have a great Thursday!

Week #4:
10/31 - rest day
11/1 - STS Disc 34
11/2 - rest day
11/3 - rest day

So tired the past few days. I didn't sleep much on the weekend so it is catching up with me now. Looking forward to finishing STS this week (Saturday).

Cheryl:
I think it is great that you are still getting in the workouts with everything going on! A great example of balance. So happy to hear everything with the house is coming along too. Thanks for the good wishes - they definitely helped!

Michele:
That's awesome that you were able to take a class with Cathe!

Terri:
Sounds like a great plan to me!

It's funny - I've noticed a lot of improvements with STS but they aren't the typical ones that you would expect (i.e., weight loss). I've noticed that it has made me stronger mentally and emotionally (who knew that lifting weights could do that?? lol). I'm much better equipped to deal with things. It's given me my confidence back since if I can get through STS, I can do anything! I've definitely gotten stronger physically too - I have to double-check the weights sometimes because the 10-15 lb ones seem too light! lol

I just commented on your blog - definitely saying a lot of things that have been frustrating for me and what I am experiencing too much of and have been for some time. The meeting actually went very well - the drama people were trying to create backfired. I will assume that it was well-intentioned and just a dumb move on their part. But it definitely worked in my favour which is always good. :) And it helped me finally release my last mental block with respect to work which was worth it in the end (not taking on the responsibility for what other people aren't doing and not accepting responsibility people try to push on me for things that aren't my job or within my control).

For the next 2 weeks I’m in LIMBO. Can’t pack (don’t want to have to live around boxes when it is just as easy to BOX – MOVE in one focus....I’m planning on doing one room at a time. I have 7 rooms and I have 8 full days to get things moved before the movers come to move the furniture. Everything is already very organized and clean. I think it’s doable.

Nancy – You are so close to the finish line for STS. What are some of the things you have noticed as ‘improvements’?
How did things go in your meeting? (see my blog. I had it posted here, but thought better of it since my blog is private - check it out.

Cheryl - emoticon MoveMax
For me, the frustrating part is that the days are so nice now.....and in three weeks it is going to be an Ohio Weather Challenge. Slow and steady will be my motto. You must be getting really excited. Can’t wait to ‘see’ your new pumpkin kitchen.

MLEBLANC - how exciting.

Gotta get myself off here and do something.

Hi Team!
Happy Wednesday to all! I have been sooooo busy, but I'm happy to say that I'm still getting my workouts done - YAY! The new house is also coming along, so hopefully "MoveMax" will begin in the next few weeks. Today I did Power Hour - an oldie but a goodie!

Have a great day everyone and I'll check back when I can. :-)

This was one busy week. They are supposed to give up possession on the 14th. That will start my MoveMax focus.
Until then – it’s get everything caught up around here and some much needed journaling on the PC. I hope that I will only be without for about 2 days.....maybe not at all because DS has a lap-top and we can always get connected from the local coffee shop which shouldn’t be too far for a ‘pickup’. That I won’t know until I’m there. 12-01-10 is my official IN day. I will give the mobile home keys to Angel on 11-30-10 when I’ve made one final walk through to make sure I haven’t left anything.
It’s exciting....and when the ‘gun goes off’ I will be super busy.
All the utilities are set to NOT be turned off – just transferred over....except for TWC....they will have to come and hook me up using the current cables in the house. It shouldn’t take them long – thank goodness Nate will be there to supervise the crawl space and make sure they don’t tear up or drill unnecessarily. Unfortunately, those hook up guys aren’t very careful.

Nancy – You must be excited to be finished with your STS Rotation. ALMOST THERE .......

Cheryl – You must be busy. Hope your upper body is holding up and that your painting is almost finished.

It has been ONE BUSY WEEK......
Tuesday morning I woke up and prayed for the safest way possible to get my car to the shop.
I had a ‘route’ planned out......got everything loaded into the car and NOTHING.
Wouldn’t start. So.....I called AAA.....save price to come jump my battery – same price to TOW me to the shop.
SO.....my car made it to the shop the ABSOLUTE SAFEST WAY POSSIBLE..
Now – new brakes – new rotors – new battery. new license sticker, new driver’s license.....
AND.......NEW HOUSE. :o)
I have days off work (birthdays are wonderful like that.....55 today....WooHoo) spent a little time shopping for ‘stuff’
Got to spend a little time in my new home – snapped a picture of the SOLD sign out front. Nice. Went to the Water company and set it up so I don’t have any down time on the water. It’s tough on the pipes to start and stop all that pressure....great way to BLOW a plumbing joint. Tried to get Gas changed over, but they are wanting my SS number over the phone. Not very comfortable with that one.....we’ll see. I’m seeking out an alternative solution to get the gas changed over....if I can’t find one – obviously I will have to give them what they want....but, I’d rather not. Who knows who is at the other end of that phone? Nate(DS) says find another solution ....I agree.

Nancy – Thank you....You are getting closer to completing your first STS..... emoticon

Cheryl – Thank you.....So far – so good. I’ve still not started with the boxing. I’m sure I will get to the TIME and feel rushed, but I will have 2 full weeks before the movers are scheduled.....should be okey-dokey.
Do you have a lap-top? Use that for your workout DVD’s. at least it isn’t so small as the tiny-screened portable.

Gotta get off here. I’m tired and just want to curl up and watch some House Hunters. :o)

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have been "MIA", but I have been sooooo busy with the new house. I have been keeping up my workouts for the most part, but again cut a few short because of exhaustion - as you can imagine!

Good workout today with IMax 2, and actually completed the entire workout!! YAY!! I cut my workout short yesterday because my DVD player died in the middle of my workout. I had to use my tiny portable DVD player today, so hopefully I can get another one hooked up over the next few days. :-) Until then I will have to do only workouts I know very well, because I would have a hard time following Cathe on that small screen!!

Have a great day everyone!

I think the newer Tae Bo are easier than the old ones. I had the original set (still have it on VHS) and I remember it being tough. Maybe I'll have to give it a try and see for comparison. I know other people have said the newer workouts aren't as difficult as the older ones and aren't as advanced (more geared to beginner and intermediate). This Is Tae Bo was still a good workout but it was no problem getting through it (but that could be after Cathe - everything seems much easier lol). I'd say it is good for those days when you want a good workout but nothing that is too advanced.

Super cleaning the kitchen. I got rid of one knick-knack. Someone gave it to me after the house fire and since I can’t remember who gave it to me – and don’t particularly like it......out it goes. emoticon

Nancy – I’m with you. Definitely strengthening the smaller muscles to keep me moving.

Thanks! I am paying a lot more attention to my back and if I start to feel any twinges (that I ignored in the workouts a few days before), I will stop and let it recover next time. So far my back is feeling really good and I find that moving around and activity helps a lot.

Terri:
I think I'm going to definitely add Pilates back into my routine somewhere because it helped before when I had low back pain a few years back. I just got away from it for awhile.

Your plan to go back to the unnamed series sound good - those are all awesome workouts.

Exhausted from Excitement.
Seriously, I’ve been HIGH with the thrill of it all for weeks and weeks......
I think I’m making my adrenals tired. emoticon
BUT...today I am definitely getting started on the packing....the things I don’t see. When I get access I will clean first and then start moving things in.....MoveMax will definitely be TOP FOCUS.

Michele – I’m glad you love running emoticon ......but, I don’t want to love running.
I know way too many people who end up with severe joint pain.
emoticon Speed walking is wonderful for me– burns just as many calories and doesn’t cause the 3x bodyweight crash on the joints. Speed Walking, Bike Riding, Yoga, and CATHE are going to be HUGE in my NEW LIFE as a ‘Village Person’..... :o)

Nancy – I am ready to bust. ..... So glad you are looking toward back care. I do a lot of back strengthening exercises....Pilates is great for that. I think I just overdid on the lat pulls during BootCamp. I think for the next two months I am going back to the UNNAMED SERIES.....Low Impact Circuit, Drill Max, BodyMax2, Butts & Guts......they use lower weights and have more variety. I found that series very doable....and with moving – I think it will be PERFECT for ME.

Cheryl – Sounds great – that way you will have your Camp-Set with you for EMERGENCY workouts. emoticon
The furniture will be moved on the 29th...by butt stays with the bed. :o) It will be like camping – only with electric and running water in both places...still have to call the utilities and get them set for the 12th.
Can’t wait to see your pics. By the time you’re done with PaintMax you are going to have some killer shoulders !!

Happy Sabbath everyone !!

Happy Saturday!

Terri - LOL on moving your Cathe - I hear ya!! I just brought back some of my DVD's from my camp, as well as my high step, so those items will be making the move first. I haven't had time for any pics yet, but when everything is done I will take some and try to get them posted. Again, I'm thinking mid November, so you might actually be moving before me! I hope you have a great weekend.

Nancy - I hope you are taking it easy and letting yourself heal completely. You have been such a motivation to me over the past several weeks. Take good care of yourself.

Michele - I'm so jealous- LOL. I used to LOVE my running, but I haven't been able to lately. I did some running at camp over the summer, but I have been so busy with moving, etc., that I am missing my fav running weather this fall. Keep up the great work!

I'm off to get in my Cathe workout, laundry, shower and then a day of painting. :-)

Cheryl

Woohoo! I bet you are so excited! Back pain is the worst - I'm definitely taking it easy and getting up and moving as much as possible throughout the day. And watching that I don't hunch over and twist as much when sitting. Seems to be helping.

Hope you have a great weekend too. And don't blame you on wanting to move your Cathe collection yourself.

Current owners called last evening. I should have access the middle of November. That will give me time to get things cleaned up and SET the closet-inserts and most of my ‘things’ set for the furniture moving on the 29th.
This is going to be FANTASTIC.....

Cheryl – Hope you’re feeling better today. Have you posted any pictures? Can’t wait to see your new kitchen.

Michele – Did you say you are training for a race? I so admire runners. Just not my thing. Maybe next year – after I get into better shape I might consider speed-walking again.

Nancy – I sleep with pillows to give me more support. It really helps the spine. Glad you’re feeling better today. Back pain is the pits. My mechanic said the breaks will hold – I have 3 other solid breaks (plus the parking breaks if I need them). I just don’t go fast at all, and give myself plenty of space to stop. There is just the horrible noise of metal on metal from that front left wheel. Fortunately, I have little to no start-stop driving so I feel much better about the two ‘trips’ to work I will make before getting the front end redone.

WISHING EVERYONE A GREAT WEEKEND......I just might start packing up some of the old workouts / videos this weekend.
NONE of my Cathe will see the inside of a box. NOPE.....SHE’s staying out in eye-view. I’ll take ‘her’ over to my new place toward the last when I load the car on MOVER day. That is one ‘collection’ I don’t trust with anyone. SHE’S my secret to life !

Back is a lot better today. I really think it was just extra time spent hunched over at the computer combined with this habit I have of sleeping in awkward positions lately that aren't good for my back either.

Disc 29 completed and it felt good. I did modify a few moves just to be on the safe side with the back but I was able to do quite a bit more than last week.

Terri:
So excited for you! Monday will be here before you know it. The brake situation sounds scary! Hope it is all OK and holds until Tuesday. Glad to hear you are feeling better and the lat pain is subsiding.

I don't have time for a long post, but will try to get back later....crazy times!

Terri - AWESOME!! It will be here before you know it!

Nancy - I hope the back pain is better today.

I am off to do some cardio, although not sure what I will do today. I didn't work at the new house last night 'cause my stomach wasn't feeling very good. I also think my body just needed a rest.

I'll check back later today. Happy Thursday!

2:00p Monday afternoon is my time. I’m fortunate as we are closing at my bank so they are going to cut the certified check right there. I don’t have to carry that much money anywhere. Grateful for that.
I’m so excited.....then things start moving....it will be quick. The movers are scheduled for Nov 29th. Could be sooner, but won’t know until the middle of November. Depends on when they are able to give me the keys. DS is coming for a week and I will definitely be ‘in’ by Dec 10th. YEA.......REALLY BIG YEA....

Car breaks are going out. We close on Monday and I am going to get my brakes fixed on Tuesday. Left front is metal against metal....sounds horrible, but he said it will hold out until Tues. GO SLOW......DON’T BREAK A LOT. The other three are good.....it just really sounds BAD.

Today – trip to the Chiro. Feeling much more human. No more lat work until after I get moved in. Just simply refuse to risk the pain until I’m done with my NECESSARY WORK. MoveMax takes top priority. I even went to Meijer and made my first home purchase. 4 window blinds (they were dirt cheap and if they don’t work – they’ll go back)....and some nice throw rugs to put down in the hallway to protect the flooring.

Nancy – I totally sympathize with you. TOTALLY.

Off I go ---early to bed this evening. Morning meeting. Corporate Chef is cooking breakfast. YUM YUM.....

Today was a new workout for me - Powerstrike 5. Not overly challenging but not overly easy either. I did get a good workout and that's all that counts in the end. :)

Cheryl:
You're doing great getting in the workouts and it doesn't matter if they are 10, 30 or 60 minutes. The point is you are still looking after yourself with everything going on and all that renovation work. And I hear you on Cathe and the workouts keeping you sane. I think they do the same for me.

Terri:
Sorry to hear about the pulled lat muscle. Hope it gets better soon.

I don't have the same reservations about the Classics now. It was just at the time they were released, they seemed "hard core". LOL

Pulled lower right lat yesterday. Don’t know if it is from the BootCamp or the Car detailing. Either way....I’ll be doing a lot of yoga this week to get that muscle to let loose. If it’s not good by Wednesday – I’m going back to the Chiro. I’ve learned over the years that OUT is not good and it doesn’t get better by itself – for me.

Nancy – if you can do Cathe you can do Classics. They are very much like High Step Challenge. STS does go by quickly. :o)

Cheryl – Cathe does keep us sane doesn’t’ she? I’m with Nancy....can’t wait to see pics of your new kitchen. Sounds like it will be great space to manage your meals. I just keep staring at the pics of my new home. Really falling in love with it more each day.

GM Ladies!
Happy Monday to everyone. Today I did Hardcore Extreme Workout #3 cardio and leg drills. I decided I definitely need to wait a few days to work upper body - can't imagine why? LOL.

I just wanted to thank this team for keeping me accountable. I have been getting in as much of my workouts as I can over the past few weeks, although I have cut them a little short here and there or decreased my intensity somewhat. I know I am burning a lot of calories with the renovations, but I also NEED to keep up my Cathe!! I think it keeps me sane...somewhat.

I hope everyone has a great day and I will try to check back later.

10/17 - STS Disc 28, Fire 30 Class, Stretch 10 Class

Another great workout day and week 2 of Meso 3 has started. Hard to believe that there are only 8 more workouts to go and I will be finished STS. Feels like I just started!

Cheryl:
Thanks! For my cardio workouts, I'm trying to go through my various DVDs and see what ones I like and get rid of the ones I don't so I will be mixing it up.

Your house sounds awesome! Do you have pictures? I'd love to see the kitchen - it sounds amazing. I'm with you - I wouldn't have liked those combinations if someone had mentioned them to me but I also know when people who really get colour and design put something together, it looks amazing.

Terri:
I don't mind the newer ones - probably because they were the ones I started with (the CardioWeights ones released right after the Transfirmer). I don't like all of them but there are some good workouts. The same with the older BSS ones - I like some and others not as much. I haven't actually tried any of the Classics. I remember them at the time but always thought they were way too advanced for me. :)

Week #2:
SUNDAY
am – BootCamp – 60 (with modifications)

Beautiful today. I am getting some things done around here. Definitely won’t be moving dust or anything unwanted.
This is such a wonderful experience. NEW START......in every way !!

Nancy – I saw you got a new Firm. I just can’t get used to the newer ones. I still do and love the Classics and BSS series.
How’s your legs?

Cheryl – I’ve noticed that I get up early of late. Just don’t seem to need the sleep. You guys are so busy with renovations.
I really DO wish I was moving .... the weather is so beautiful and the ground dry. It would be perfect, but all in good time.
I am excited to have made a move-in purchase. There are a few things I will be doing over the winter – the closets are not my style – so I’ll be redoing them. I was going to leave the closet inserts in this place, but cost of replace is just too high. They will have a few things to do here, but for the price (FREE) they should still be ahead.
I did see some great ideas for moving on HGTV.....I’m going to be splitting large cardboard boxes....and laying them out on thefloors to protect the hardwood from the movers. They can easily be removed when the furnature is set.
Love my HGTV ♥
Have you thought about letting the Cathe go for a bit and do more stretching ? Your work might not seem like a lot, but it calculates to over 400kc/hr. That is about what a good Cathe will burn.
Pumpkin is THE best color. I love those shades. Can’t wait until you post a picture. Are you taking progress pics?
I’m going to.....starting with totally empty house....right up through MY HOME. :o)
Don’t be sorry – I love getting a mental picture of your place. So excited for you !!

I plan on being in the house for a while before choosing any changes. Right now the bedroom is a mauve color a border I don’t care for. But for this winter it will stay. I want to ‘feel’ the place before making any changes. This whole process was such a surprise. I’m grateful God answered my prayers. I’ve been whining to be somewhere else for over 6 years.....it just wasn’t time yet.
emoticon NOW IT IS ♥

Going out to clean the car. The weather is perfect and I’ll be needing that car clean to get things moved next month.

HAPPY DAY TO EVERYONE !!

Good Morning!

As you can see by the time of this post I am up stupid early this morning - yup, 3:00 am! I am going to do either HIIT or CCC for cardio today, and actually did IMax 2 Cardio and Weights yesterday instead of Boot Camp. I thought an "easier" workout might be better so I could have more energy to work on the house. I also bought a pellet stove yesterday for the new house, which was VERY expensive, but it did qualify for the tax credit and I'm thinking it will be a good investment considering the ever increasing cost of oil heat. Today I am also finishing cleaning/gutting the rest of the entire basement in the new house (where the pellet stove will go) and then back to the endless task of floor sanding. My arms feel like they are going to fall off, so no upper body weight training for me until at least Wednesday!

Nancy - I really like your rotation! You are doing AMAZING at STS!

Terri - You know the saying "be careful what you wish for" - LOL!! It is very exciting to be moving, although I haven't actually moved anything yet. I hope we are done enough to start moving in a few weeks. You are lucky to have bought a house that you can move right in to! I am very excited still, but am starting to get a little grouchy and tired from all of the hard work. I'm trying to keep my spirits high and actually feel better now that we are starting to see some serious results. We painted the kitchen "Baked Pumpkin" and tiled the floor with a green tile with a slight peach/orange hue. I REALLY didn't like the colors at first, since I ALWAYS have painted and had neutral colors in my home. My DH does general contracting, however, and is an expert at renovating and designing homes, sooooo.....I let him pick EVERYTHING out. I have to admit that I was "breathing in a paper bag" after we painted and wanted to cry because I thought the color was TERRIBLE!! Ok....time to admit how completely WRONG I was........VERY, VERY, VERY wrong!! LOL. The kitchen is looking like something you would see in a magazine - AWESOME!! The floor tiles "pick up" the pumpkin color and with the bright white trim and bronze fixtures - WOW!! At least I can admit when I'm wrong, right? LOL. Anyway, the floors will be light stained, at least I think! Sorry to ramble....

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

That quote is one of my favourites. It really helps me when I get stuck not doing something because I'm afraid of failure.

It is so beautiful. I so wish I was at Mesocycle #3 of MoveMax, but alas.....all in good time.

Michele – Great to have you .....Not everyone does Cathe....It’s more about the motivation and encouragement than the workout. I definitely love the circuits you mentioned. I’m just not using heavy weights as I don’t want an injury from workouts the next two months. Gotta do a LOT of moving and that will definitely keep me busy. Just ask Cheryl :o)

Laura – Circuits are GOOD !!

Nancy – YEA you survived week #1..... emoticon

Cheryl – MoveMax takes top priority. You definitely have some awesome weather for it. Are you going dark or light on the floors? My laminate hardwood floors are light. I learned today (on DIY) that they can be sanded and re-stained. I’m not sure if I will eventually do that – or just get some dark area rugs to help tone things down. There a TON of windows and light walls so the place is neon compared to my current home which is all paneling. I love the wood....but am really ready for more Vitamin D.....YEA.... I really need as much of that as I can get – my office has no windows and most days I’m inside during the major sun-times. So when I am home – I’ll be getting a double shot of light. Happy Happy

Wishing everyone a very Sunny Day emoticon

Happy Saturday!

I am still working away on the new house. I'm sorry I haven't been checking in as much over the past week, but life has been CRAZY busy! I have the kitchen and bedrooms painted and should begin the lovely task of stripping the hardwood floors today - ARGH. I really don't love floor sanding, but do love the outcome, so I guess it's like everything else in life.....it's worth the hard work. :-)

Yesterday I did RS for cardio and today I think I will try either Boot Camp or Drill Max. I was considering the Gauntlet, but don't know if that's such a good idea considering my arms are still SOOOOO sore from the painting and sanding.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Welcome Michele!

Cheryl

No problem and thanks for explaining this challenge thing to me, LOL!!!! I love circuit because I get my cardio and weight training at the same time. Plus, you burn more calories that way. And for an added bonus, since I'm running and training for a race, circuit training allows me to still get in my Cathe workouts :)

Got it. Will keep you posted about the Cathe workouts I do. I usually do Boot Camp (the original and still the best) and a High Step Challenge (the first one is my favorite for some reason) in between my weekly runs.

Looks like I’ll be doing circuits alternating with yoga this rotation. I definitely have to do some baking this weekend. I’m outta healthy bread and with the CANDY focus this month – I think I might make some healthy snacks to keep the ‘Monsters’ away.
emoticon I love fall emoticon

Laura – Nothing like a LIVE class to motivate.

Michele – there is no real outline for these challenges. It’s pretty much whatever works for you. Specific challenges tend to fizzle because everyone ends up doing what they design anyway....and – in the middle of this challenge we will be getting our NEW Cathe Workouts – which will most definitely change things up. I’m excited that there are a few ‘circuit style’ workouts coming, since that is my personal challenge...I can always make a circuit out of anything she sends – which is great
So....whatever you do is just fine with us – there are also a few other threads of daily posters – doing different things.

Happy Friday......

Nancy – Hope you can still walk this week. Meso #3 is tough like that !!
Cheryl – Enjoy your Weekend fixing up your new home !!

I don't blame you for wanting to fully clean the furnace and duct work before turning it on. The dust could ruin your walls. (I've never know anyone to clean their duct work before they move.....that is one of the first things I'll be doing when I get into my home. Furnace filter - duct work - kitchen cupboards and toilets will all get the 'TERRI-CLEAN" before I move one box.
I'm going to hold off on the painting until I've been in there at least 6 months.....I don't even know what colors I like. I've had paneling so long.

Are you on a time schedule to be out of your home?
I hope that everything moves well so I can be out of here by the last week of November. They have to pay rent by the 10th of Dec. It should be good for everyone.

Terri - LOL on the M&M's!! I feel your pain!! I could put the furnace on, but I haven't had it cleaned yet, so I'm hesitant to run it overnight until it gets the "all clear". I also have been trying to "chill" a little because I don't want to exhaust myself and end up sick. I also don't want to give up my formal workouts every day, which I would have to do if I put in a lot of hours on work nights. Argh...the dilemmas!!

Have a great day!

Going to the Chiro this afternoon. Just can’t stand it any longer. The scoliosis takes over at about week #3. I normally go at week #5, but this is week #7. When I wait this long it takes more adjustments – you’d think after all this time I’d learn. In my defense – I’m trying to spend as little money as possible to get into the house on time. Yoga helps, but not enough.
Lesson learned.....Chiro is high on the priority list.

Nancy – Mesocycle #3 is definitely hard on the legs. Hot soaks help.

Laura - emoticon

Cheryl – do you have the furnace set for ‘not-so-cold’?
I’m slacked on the clean eating yesterday. Went to the store – stayed well within my budget.....BUT, a bag of coconut M&M’s jumped into my card and REFUSED to get back on the shelf. I totally get those commercials now.
Those little guys are forceful. emoticon

Happy Wednesday!

Niccceeee workouts Laura!! I bet you will be feeling some serious DOMS from all of that!

I worked pretty late last night at the new house (even though I didn't intend to), and finished most of the painting in the bedroom. I couldn't finish all of the trim because the weather is not cooperating (supposed to drop below 40 tonight. I'm still not back to eating well, but I'm trying very hard. I had some Indian food last night, which I made myself, but I know I had too much rice...work in progress.

This morning I did Supersets and really PUSHED the limits!! I upped the weights on most of the leg work and also did extra reps/more weight on several of the core exercises. Good workout!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Cheryl

I did the two upper body gymstyles workouts yesterday and today. I also did soma short interval workout yesterday and I did Imax 2 (intervals 1-5) today.
Tomorrow night is gonna be my first bootcamp class, so I'm debating on doing gymstyle legs on Thursday. Maybe do some steady state cardio tomorrow morning. Keep some energy for the bootcamp class.
Do Legs on Thursay and some intervals
Friday just cardio. Saturday MM and cardio, Sunday pilates and yoga...

10/10 - STS Disc 25, Fire 30 Class, Stretch 10 Class
10/11 - 4 Day Split Double Cardio premix
10/12 - STS Disc 26

Disc 26 Plyo Legs done. OMG...let's just say I still have a LOT of work to do to be able to do all those plyos. Where are those 75 second rests in this workout?? :) I was fried by the end (well before the end for the plyos). I was going to do a Turbo Fire workout after but it just was not going to happen...I could barely get up the stairs. I am going to be so sore tomorrow... :(

Week #1:
SUNDAY
am – Circuit Max - 45
pm – Candlelight Yoga - 45
MONDAY
am – Stretch w/ Michelle LeMay - 45
pm – none
TUESDAY
am – Low Impact Circuit – 45

10 hr days don’t leave a lot of time for anything else. I’ll get used to that – one thing I really do like is that I get a LOT more done at work.....
I just need to remember to get up and move around with the timer. Blood clots are not a thing to mess with.

Nancy – 3 has a way of doing that to you....DOMS Wait till you get to the legs. OY.....when I did them I was doing both leg versions....one on Wed, one on Sat. It was an intense rotation that’s for sure. 4-D split LIS is one of my favorite routines..

Cheryl – Refinished floors are so beautiful. My home has wood laminate....they are light color. It will take some getting used to as I’ve had wall-to-wall for all of my adult life. I need to by a swifter. :o) I was going to leave my closet inserts for Angel, but there is no way I can do that after pricing them out. It would cost me over $1,000.00 to replace the 3 closet spaces....not going to happen. With the money they are saving being gifted this mobile home – they can get whatever kind of closet spaces they wish. I also will need to get window blinds. Cheap ones at first in the main VIEW-IN windows.....just want to be blocking that ‘view’ as much as possible....then as I get more cash I will replace them with custom blinds.
It would have been nice to have saved more money before moving, BUT, this home is perfect and I know it will all fall into place. I’m so excited for you. You will be moved-in in no time. I hope to be in before December 10th. Preferably before that, but definitely no later than the 10th.....as I don’t want to pay another month’s lot rent and Angel doesn’t want to fork out all that rent either. That’s the plan.....we’ll see how it goes.

Time’s up......Have a Terrific Tuesday Everyone.

Today is cardio for me. I did L&G yesterday because my arms were way to sore for anything upper body! I think I am going to try Cardiofusion today, but still not sure...

The house is coming along- slow but sure. I have been stripping wallpaper, painting, pulling up carpeting and cleaning. Hopefully the painting will be mostly done by the end of this week or this weekend and we can refinish the hard wood floors. After that we have some minor stuff like closet racks, etc and then we can move in. Whew!

Have a great day everyone!

Week #1:
10/10 - STS Disc 25, Fire 30 Class, Stretch 10 Class
10/11 - 4 Day Split Double Cardio premix

I'm feeling a little sore from yesterday's STS workout..awesome! Today was the double cardio premix from 4 Day Split and I was able to do the entire thing! I remember when I started with this workout last year and could barely get through one of the step workouts. I really have made progress even though sometimes it doesn't seem like it.

Laura:
Sounds like a busy week and great plan!

Cheryl:
Great plan with the shorter workouts given everything you have going on lately and all the work on the house.

Terri:
I think you are doing great preparing for the move. It will be less stressful once you are finished and can just enjoy the move.

Circuit Max was FUN.....I used light weights and no soreness today, just GREAT feeling muscles. :o)
I only have one more room to clean/sort/pitch/re-organize and then I will simply ENJOY my current home until it is time to MOVE to my NEW HOME. WooHoo
The few things I have boxed up have already started to frustrate me.....I had to go digging through the office supply box yesterday looking for the battery charger. The box is in the Office Armoire right where the items were before - but now they are in a box. It only takes minutes to pack a box for DIRECT MOVE.....MoveMax choreography is definitely off.
To my credit - I've only moved a few times in my life and the last move was over 15 years ago.
I'm claiming inexperience here. :o)

Nancy - Can't wait to hear of your results !!!

Laura - sounds like a plan

Cheryl - I am so with you.....a little behind, but still in MoveMax Mode. After I do the Clean Sweep on the last room I am definitely going to focus a lot on my menu. The biggest problem for me has been lack of planning. I'm getting back into that this week.

HAPPY MONDAY

Happy Monday!!

I'm with you, Terri - the bad eating has to stop. I have been working so hard and hope to drop some weight over the next month, so I intend to put a halt to stress eating during this challenge.

I will be doing shorter duration workouts over the next few weeks also because of time limitations and exhaustion!!

I will try to post more later, but I'm off to do a nice lower body workout.

Have a great day!

Cheryl

My rotation changes every week. This week I'm gonna do Gym Styles workouts (all three) and then do Muscle Max, so as to hit the main muscle groups a second time in one week. I'm gonna add some cardio each day, (maybe the TacFit Commando Tabata workouts on a couple of those days), an Imax 2 workout, and maybe some KPC and an extra Bootcamp session at the local club on Wednesday night.
Pilates and yoga on my REST day on Sunday.
Ought to be a busy week!

10/10 - STS Disc 25, Fire 30 Class, Stretch 10 Class

I had lots of energy this morning! It just goes to show that when you make better food choices, you have more energy (junk food = no energy).

Meso 3 has started with Disc 25 and I loved it (as if I wasn't going to! LOL). I think Meso 3 could possibly be my favourite of the three but we'll see how the rest of the week goes first. After STS, I did Fire 30 for a short but intense cardio and added on the stretch class afterwards. Felt great!!

Heading off shortly to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner. Should be good - they have accommodated my vegetarian diet so I will still be eating healthy. :)

Terri:
I don't mind the long breaks in Meso 3 (liked them in Meso 2). One of the things that was annoying in Meso 1 was that the breaks were so short that sometimes I didn't have enough time to stretch and get the weights ready for the next exercise.

"MoveMax" continues for me with no specific daily rotation....there is just too much to do for moving and I have no intentions of dealing with DOMS in THIS rotation.

I will be continuing with mostly full body workouts and LOTS of yoga / pilates to keep me stretched out.
The last thing I need right now are tight muscles and pain that slows down the moving process.

Closing is tenatively the 25th. Might be sooner.
Right now I'm cleaning and sorting my things to make everything move ready.
For the last 4 weeks I've been tweaking my added position and have worked 5-10's. From now on it will be 4-10's which gives me an extra day to get things done around here. With my schedule - stretching and working out are high priority, with minimal time.
SO..... emoticon Time Management is my main focus and getting as much done in my days as I can.
emoticon Eating Clean is back to the top of the list - last month I deviated and was really eating way too much sugar and nacho supreme's....(why is it that nacho's are such an easy-fix dinner? I'd throw on some veggies and beans and nosh away.....
But, it's gotta emoticon

I'm getting back to stir-fry - the veggie focus will do me good.

I don't know how frequently I'll be posting, but I'll post as often as I can...
emoticon
