Spark sticks to the party line and thier recommendation for carbs is way too high for most diabetics. So, no, I do not think that you bombed out on your day......
There are many people here on Spark who believe in low carb eating, some subscribe to low fat, but many agree that fat is necessary and eat much more that Spark recommends.
Have you been to a diabetic Nutritionist? If not, ask your doctor for a referral, and whatever she and your doctor recommend, that is what you should aim for. It may be higher than Spark on the fat, or lower on the carb, whatever, but you should follow the instructions of your medical team.....
