I was a vegan for 18 months. Am not now. Took more work than I was willing to give. Be sure to have your doctor check your B-12 levels, and take calcium tablets. Try whey protein powder in Silk almond milk with fruit for an easy smoothie.
Dr. Neal Barnard (PCRM) is starting another vegan program. Check it out on-line. There are some good recipes.
PS: tofu is fairly high-fat, all things considered.

I'm trying to make a change to become vegetarian and eventually vegan. My problem at the moment is getting enough protein and not using beans, TVP or tofu every day. Fat is under my goal too. I'd be grateful for any suggestions & tips.
