There's another possibility as well. Diabetes can cause kidney damage, and when your kidneys aren't working their best, toxins have to go somewhere so they come out in your perspiration... which can cause rashes and other types of skin eruptions... so while you're asking questions of your doctor, be sure to find out if your doctor is monitoring your kidney function as well...

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." Walter P. Chrysler said it, I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steadfast... and that works too! LOL

Life comes in specific increments, which we receive as a gift of one moment at a time. That's why it's called the PRESENT!

It is also possible that you are having an allergic reaction to something in the air or something you brushed as you walked by. Have you changed your route recently?

Whatever the cause, you do need to talk to a healthcare professional and have it checked out. As someone said, it could be something minor, or it could be something really significant. It is better to be safe than sorry....

Go to the doctor as soon as possible! I would do the walk before hand also.

off the starboard bow
over the hurdles,
and down the shute.

last is just the slowest winner. c.hunter boyd

people often say that motivation doesn't last. well neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily. zig ziglar

Beth,

I agree that it is a thing I would disguss with your doc. Nothing I have heard of involving the exercise. If I were you I would make an appt with the doc and go do that walk just before you go to your appt so the doc could see what actually happens to you. Hoping you are well soon. Let us know how it goes.

I would def suggest asking your doc. Are you in an area that had a lot of rain due to the hurricane? Perhaps the rain caused more bugs that bit you while walking...that happens to me, but your pain sounds terrible.
Wishing you the best,
Deb

Sounds like something to ask your doctor about. It could be a reaction to one of your meds and the sun. It could be related to hydration or something more or less scary. Let a professional look at you.

I am really not sure how to ask.. or where to ask.

I have walked for exercise for a long while.. I steadily increase and am now up to a 15 minute mile and have been walking 4 miles .
The problem is the last 2 times I have done this walk at the end when I am done and stretching my skin feels like I am being stung by fire ants or have needles sticking me when I touch it... it is red and blotchy.... today it was so intense I thought I was going to vomit....... this has only happened the last 2 times.
