Happy Springtime everyone
I finally did a complete workout today.
Everyday is a new day, just think positive and take one day at a time.
100+CRUNCHES A DAY TEAM
Ladders are going up or down in count (by one number).
I think this is what they are saying, to do ladders alternating sides.
So 1+2+3 says first set do 1 (one each side), then second set do 2 (two one side, then two other side), and third set do 3 (three one side, then three other side. Repeat 5 times. This equals 30 reps each side.
Then swings, the 1.5:1 rest/work ratio means you should be resting 1.5 times as much to the 1 time of swinging (work), or resting half again as long as the work/swing period. So goal, if you are doing your swing in rest in 60 seconds time, is to try and do your 15 swings (their goal) in 24 seconds then rest 36 seconds (= to 1.5 times the work/swing period).
You have to find common denominator, I cheated a little by saying 1.5 is 3 halves, and 1 is two halves, which made 5 halves. 60 seconds divided by 5 (the number of halves) is 12, so each half should be 12 seconds, so the 1.5 (3 halves) is 36 (3 * 12), and the 1 (2 halves) is 24 (2 * 12).
Hope this didn't confuse more.
Doing traditional kettlebell exercises, RKC style. Check out The Kettlebell Challenge sparkteam for more info - it welcomes everyone, from beginner to KB certified.
KETTLEBELLS PREPARE YOU FOR A HOST OF THINGS, BUT NOTHING PREPARES YOU FOR KETTLEBELLS.
T the risk of sounding like an idiot, I'm not sure how to decipher this:
Wednesday: 1+2+3 Military Press Ladders, 5 sets = 30 reps each side
15 swings per minute for 10 minutes = 150 swings
(approx 1.5:1 rest/work ratio)
I got as far as figuring out what weights to use and the "do 1 rep" "rest while your partner does 1 rep"..."do 2 reps, rest while your partner does 2 reps"....after that, it's greek to me.
Swing Like You Mean It- RKC Style
Currently swinging either a single 55 lb. or two 25 lb'ers.
THis is a great article I've been using to increase and improve my pressing and swing abilities. You can use a similar format to work on your goal.

Strength does not come from pysical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.
I need something to get me swinging again. I've seen this challenge in several KB blogs and thought I would challenge myself with it. I've been absolutlely pitifull since the first of the year.
Just to get going this morning:
15 X 4 2 Handed Swing = 105 swings
I plan to do more this evening.
Keep cool but do not freeze
