Hey Lisa, that is great! I want to get an 8kg so badly, but none available right now emoticon

Anyway, I am happy that I now have two 4kg bells, so I am going to try and challenge myself by holding 2 in one hand and see if I can do swings like that. The 4s are really fun, but I would probably progress faster if they were heavier.

I am so glad you are having fun with yours!

PS, it is cool that you have a trainer! I used to have one (we didn't do KBs) and it made going to the gym a lot more fun and it got me there on days that I would have coped out otherwise.

emoticon emoticon That's fantastic!!!

They are fun... especially when they don't hurt. emoticon And picking them up during the day, here and there, without having a set workout will shock your PT, too. He'll think you're amazing!!! It's called greasing the groove. Doing a bit here and there like that helps the synapses from your brain to your body fire more readily and easily. The movements will become sooo natural feeling and you'll feel fantastic about yourself. Give it a shot and let us know how it works out!!! emoticon

Thanks!! Sidney - My PT has me lifting 8 kg kbs over my head! It's grueling, but I do it. The 15 lb. kbs will be a little easier!!
Oh, WAIT - I just thought of something! My PT times me on EVERYTHING so I BET I have already completed this test!! I'll have to email him to find out! I will definitely let you all know!!

David - Thanks for the motivation and support! You're awesome!! BTW - you are right. I picked up the KBs yesterday and was playing around with them! They're fun when it doesn't hurt!

I hear you about planning lessons!!! Yikes, time is ticking away emoticon

Glad to hear you got your KB!!! emoticon emoticon

I got my second too, so now I have a pair of 4kgs. I don't worry about lifting them over my head b/c they are not that heavy, but I would be afraid of the 15kg ones. I tried David's 15kg and it nearly killed me!! And he has a 20 and 24kg bell too!

We have been using some web instructions from You Tube and they are nice, short and easy to follow, as well as the Kettlebell Goddess DVD. Mostly I am just really lucky to have David show me the way as I just started using them 2 weeks ago.

Lisa, I'm sooo happy that you got one. I think you're going to love the convenience of having it at home.

One of the reasons I thought of this challenge was because everyone is on a different timeline. If you're busy right now, don't worry about it; we have a whole month!!! When you have the time, test yourself then. Even in two or three weeks you'll see a difference. The most important thing is to make the commitment to do the challenge, no matter what. No one fails on this Team; we all do it together, and whatever we have time for is always going to be a step in the right direction.

If you want, set a date for the first trial. We can do a Lisa KB Swing Countdown to get you and everyone really amped up!!! It'll be great emoticon . So don't stress about it; get excited!!! The same goes for others. Remember, you're in control of the test; we're just here to motivate and congratulate you when it's done.

For now, I dare you not to pick up your new bell here and there as you pass it in the hall or the corner of your room and not do a set of swings emoticon

I just purchased my first KB! :o) It's a 15 lb'er. For some reason it's not in Kgs, but it translates to 6.8 Kg. I'd love to play around with it ... or take the challenge, but I REALLY need to get my lesson plans out of the way - we're having observations next week!! So, the challenge will have to wait till later.
