Wow!! First off, congrats on losing the weight! Keep up the GREAT work you are doing thus far!!
Second, welcome to the world of Kettlebells. You will LOVE it! I've been swinging the kettlebell since 2010 after I got a DVD with my very first 7lb Kettlebell by GoFit.net. I just happen to be at Target and saw that this bell came with an introductory 26-min workout. I told myself that I can do anything for 26 minutes! Now I'm consistently doing that short total workout and others I found online at least 3-4 times a week, sometimes more.
Jessica Huthmaker, RKC Certified Kettlebell instructor, is a great trainer, too. It's very informative withe numerous technique and general fitness reminders thrown in throughout each session. My favorite part of workout is that she pauses between sets and reminds us to "get some water". She has another DVD called that I have on my rewards wish list.
My husband liked what he saw on the Kettleworx infomercial. So, I got that set of DVDs for him this past Christmas. (He found it odd to workout with a lady leading the instruction with the GoFit.net DVD I have been using.) Well, I don't care for Kettleworx workouts as they don't make adjustments for rest/water breaks, the instructor isn't doing the same number of reps on both sides of the body on several occasions, and some of his techniques on so many of the moves aren't correct (based on the RKC videos I've watched on dragonworks.com and YouTube). Guess he's making a career out of this because of his Hollywood star contacts.
Another kettlebell DVD on my wish list is Kettlebell Systema – The Science of Kettlebell Sport featuring Denis Kanygin. Did you see anything about this series while doing your research?
Thanks for posting your research on the DVDs you plan to use. Please keep us posted on your progress. I've been looking into other DVDs to enhance my library, too.
