I find that by afternoon I feel too drained to work out. I prefer to work out in the morning when I feel well rested. I don't have time to make excuses if I just get straight up and go.

I try to put out my exercise clothes from the night before so I don't have to spend time wondering what to wear.

I love to get outdoors and jog while the air is still fresh. It's also great knowing that by 8am it's done and nothing can come up during the day to get in the way of it.

I work out whenever I can. Sometimes it is late at night. If I have a choice. I work out after I wake up. That could be early or late, lol. I do it on a empty stomach. I feel like I feel the burn more that way.

I am glad to make your aquaintance. Yes calories are important calorie king is a good site to go to find out what each food is worth. I sure know what you mean by not wanting to waste food. I pay for all of my groceries so I don't want anything to go bad. Do you like the gym?

Thanks Hannah, I am Jennifer. I think the calorie counter will be a major help to me. I'm not really an emotional eater, I just eat the bad things really all the time, and when im not hungry sometimes i will just eat because something is in the cuppard and I dont want to waste it.

You are more then welcome. I am Hannah by the way. You can just spark mail me I need to get my page up but I will add you. :) As soon as I get my page up I will let you know. I like that the calorie tracker gives you a range it is more realistic then say the 1500 calories I used to allow myself and wonder why I was still sooo hungry. Are you an emotional eater like me?

I am totally with you in that. I am a Christian as well. :) I am one of those people who are proportionate in body. I feel that you might as well have fun working out you know? Make it enjoyable when I hit the bike or the gym tunes are important. I always like to weigh once a week and at the same time same day and keep my calories within range. Tracking my calories online helps me not to have to carry around a little tablet that I keep obsessing over. Like I've got 400 calories left time for a sundae not the best move for me. Can I recommend an excellent read to you? My Big Fat Greek Diet written by a doctor a close personal friend of mine Dr. Nick Yphantides it's a motivational read.

You are right, I can get there, why couldn't I?? I am the only one stopping me. Sacrificing an hour of sleep a few days a week cant be that bad. Being a Christian, sacrificing is the name of the game, God did it for us and sacrificed his son, so why cant I do it?? Im about 5'6", and I dont look like what I weigh, but the scales dont lie

Sure why can't you get there? Anything is possible how tall are you? I am 5'7" people say I am tall but I was told by my doctor I should have been taller. My sister is three inches taller then me and it's like how is the weather up there she can use me as a headrest. Yay a new spark buddy! :) I used to be a size 12 going towards a size 10 so here is hoping I can get there again I just want to have some muscle this time last time I was sick at the time. I have celiac disease and if you would like to know about it let me know cause I love talking about it.

OMG!!!! Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I feel the EXACT same way. My twin sister says, Im being to hard on myself because I just had a baby 3mos ago (c-section) so my body is healed now, and I am able to workout, I just have to get up and do it. I love my sister dearly, she is about a size 8, and is gorgeous, and I look at her sometimes and think, "I can get there", I just need the motivation. I would definately like to become spark buddies.

How would you like to be my spark buddy? You can spark mail me whenever you like. I just got my sister a Zumba game for the Wii and we have yet to try it. I heard it is really a workout. :) Glad you got a reward system and it was a lot of trial and error but I am learning what works for my body. I sure know how you feel about wanting to wear clothes and have them fit comfortably not in a baggy way but in a pretty way. I think when I hit 200 I stopped feeling pretty and that is just wrong I want to feel pretty again tough but still feminine. Do you know what I mean?

Hi,

You know, I was looking at your current weight, and I currently weigh the exact same thing, I really appreciate you reaching out to me. I do have a reward system, but it's for when I lose about 30-40pds, my husbands birthday is in august, and Im planning him a suprise birthday party, and I saw some really cute dresses in the mall a few weeks ago, and I just want to be able to go into the store and get exactly what I want and not have to worry about looking crazy in it. My eating habits are not terrible, but they are not the best either. Im taking some tips from this site, and contructing a meal plan for myself. I have tons of dvd's and equipment at home, I love zumba, so I think I may start with that tomorrow morning.

You are so welcome I am glad it is. I do the stationary bike 5 times a week and try and take a walk in the evenings weather permitting. I am going to be training for a half marathon next month so wish me luck I have never even run before so it is a huge goal I know. :) First though I am doing my very first 5K.

As long as you have a goal and you are going towards something it may feel more worth it. Do you have a reward system? Like after I lose 4 more pounds I am getting myself some running shoes. How is your diet are you tracking your food if you have the right fuel and energy you can get through anything.

I reminded myself that this is my play time yes it may be early but in the end isn't it worth it? I workout so I can play more. So take the work out of your workout and do something you enjoy if you are a walker walk think about what you enjoy the most that is what you will stick with and don't be afraid to change it up variety is the spice of life. :) Hope this helps if you need more ideas spark mail me and I will be more then happy to give suggestions.

Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie, but I'm so excited to be here. I'm a happily married women, with 2 children, my youngest is 3mos, and oldest is 1yr 8mos, and I work full time, so by the time by day has ended I'm exhausted, and can't get motivated to work out. It would be easier to get up at 5a to workout, but I cant seem to find the motivation to get up that early. What are some things that some of you use to get motivated to workout in the mornings?

Thanks,
