Even hotter today than yesterday, and going to continue.
√ 1) Check with cleaning woman about extra air conditioner that she has said she'll give me - although the installation might be fairly expensive. √ 2) Lesson at Apple store (air-conditioned - YAY!). √ 3) Private lesson (not air-conditioned - boo). √ 4) Rehearsal (air-conditioned - YAY!).
clean all the foam chips and polystyrene beads out of the washing machine - some of the Teddys did not survive bathtime :( Body Conditioning class Supervise driveway gate restoration (if the guys turn up) Have coffee with Energy Buddy again (if she gets finished with errands quickly)

Monday, August 30th
[Hope that this is the last of the really hot days. Not going to push myself too much because had difficult sleeping since it never got really cool.]
-1) Update Numbers and Excel accounts of expenses. [too hot to think] √ 2) Finish typing info about Nakajima Park (page on my website that gets the most hits) and choose the best photos. [Not nearly finished but it's going to be a great website!] √ 3) Go over Mahler at least once and maybe memorize a couple more lines.

CA - house just needs some TLC and maintenance that I've neglected and now I am motivated to work thru the job list faster than planned. Had planned one task per month - knocking them off quickly now!
Disaster averted last night - thought I had taken Rump Steak out of the freezer - turned out to be Goulash - so we had Omlettes with veg on the side - since I didn't make a fuss, everyone ate as if it was my intention :)

- Laze around reading sportsman's autobiography - Go to Sports Store to look for Scuba accessories - Find all the Teddy Bears and soft toys - stuff them into washing machine ready to go to "disadvantaged children" somewhere - my 33yr old DS gave permission to deal with his toys :)) - Continue decluttering and resting aching muscles

Aspenhugger - Sure hope you're feeling better soon, but it's good you're not pushing yourself too hard. Sheila - Sorry to hear about the house problems, and rainy weather on top of it all!
- 1) Wash towels. [But washed other clothes.] √ 2) Sort other clothes. √ 3) Think about filling out application to be a checker and question maker for the STEP test. [Thought about it!] √ 4) Do more paper decluttering. [It's taking time but I'm succeeding in sorting through TEN YEARS' worth of accumulated printed material.]

wouldn't you just know it - today is the day all the technicians are descending on my house and it's raining - after a glorious week, it's raining!!
Garden Services - triple session to get hedge sorted out - want it to be level not stepped or wavy!
Electrician - getting light switches and power outlets to operate properly in couple of rooms and stop the noise a fluorescent light makes
Patio Door repair man - can't open it since a hectic BBQ when DD2's friend fell into it

√ 1) Clean kitty litter box. 2) Private a.m. and p.m. classes. 3) Work on memorizing Mahler while going to latter. 4) Wash towels - ugh! Have to scrub out stains by hand.

Monday 23 August
- Continue de-cluttering of house full steam ahead -loaded car, took it to charity shop - closed till 8a.m.! - Body Works Class - sub instructor - ow ow ow! - Brother coming to visit - for an hour or so - mmm :) DS turned up too :) - return some bed linen to shop - too small ?Exchange or just refund - exchanged - too big! Returned for refund - it was a custom-built bed between Queen Extra Long and King Extra Long - will have to make my own fitted sheets as usual

Have had sporadic Internet connection so wasn't able to make list for yesterday but didn't do much besides rehearsal.
1) Change and wash sheets (which will make the cats happy). 2) Fill out form to get itemized invoice for time I was in Europe and send it to Softbank. 3) Do last couple chapters in grammar book before tomorrow's private lesson. 4) Get some groceries - especially fruit and cat food.

Sheila - I'm sure you won't have the same problem with “roaming.” On my cell phone, even though I have had roaming on in the past, I only paid when I actually made a call (2-3 minutes). On my iPad, apparently it was “roaming” the entire time, even when I was just listening to music. I'm still trying to get it straightened out.
√ 1) Wash clothes. 2) Do more paper decluttering. 3) Highlight music for Lobby Concert, and study Mahler for tomorrow's rehearsal. 4) Finish reading any email from this week and discard or file.

Friday 20 August OUCH CA - that's horrifying! hoping my roaming wasnt like that!! I set my BlackBerry NOT to push emails - only get texts and calls and able to send texts. Also closed off SP notices so my computer time would be reduced! And paid R500 into the account before I went so that I wouldn't get such a shock

Friday, August 20th
Didn't get much accomplished Thursday except for teaching 2 classes because still recovering from shock of about $1,000 because I had “roaming” turned on for my iPad while I was overseas - even though I wasn't able to use the Internet and barely got any Mail.
√ 1) Go to bank to get new bank card. [Simple since now is done all by machine - 3 minutes instead of 15-20.] √ 2) Go to Apple store to learn more about “roaming” policy. [The person I talked to was very kind and sympathetic, and also astounded at my bill since I hadn't been able to access Maps, the Internet, iTunes, and Mail most of the time.] - 3) Highlight music and start to learn Mahler (for Sunday's rehearsal). [GOT to do this on Saturday!] √ 4) Do more paper decluttering. [Included adding recipes, from scraps of paper I've had, to SparkPeople - making it much more easily accessible.]

- Continue with laundry - Put away dry laundry and other things from cases - keep travelling toiletries etc ready for next trip - Catch up on household admin, dates with friends, maintenance - Gym of some sort - probably treadmill and dance steps
Oh! and shopping - no Middle Eastern food in this house :( Need fruit, seeds, cheese!

√ 1) Continue typing and scanning materials that need to be filed - a huge project that may take a month. √ 2) Participate in last evening of festival dancing, in spite of the mugginess.
√ BONUS: Was able to upload video of festival dancing!
√ 1) Wash clothes. √ 2) Write questions for “Anne of Green Gables.” - 3) Start on large bag of old computer “stuff” to be tossed, such as old “floppies.” - But got lots of questions done on “Anne.” √ 4) Eat lots of fruit and veggies - and NOTHING with sugar! - and didn't eat anything after 7 p.m.
Aspenhugger - Got it! Posting here regularly helps me because, if it's not on my list and doesn't get done, well, it's not on my list and it didn't get done!

Didn't accomplish all but got lots of photos from my trip uploaded and compliments on them.
Every day make a "to-do list." A Microsoft CEO shared with his employees his secret to success. He said every day he'd make a to-do list topped with 4 things that he REALLY wanted to get done. Then he'd throw away the rest of the list. If Microsoft's CEO can accomplish only 4 things in a day, what makes you any different? Start prioritizing yourself and you'll get the most important things done. The rest can wait til another day to be in the top 4.
On this forum, feel free to post your "top 4" and how you are progressing. Let's get the most out of our days and start prioritizing the things we need to get done most!
