OK, so tomorrow is 3 months that I am on the Dukan Diet.
As of today, I have lost a total of 30 lbs.
I have not weighed this much (or this little) in over 4 years!

Thank you SP friends for all your support!
I still have another 15 to 20 to go!

Sharon you are wonderful to keep posting in this thread and have been having some success as well. That's great! Keep it up!

I'm hoping to see a definite lose this week. The past two weeks I saw a lose throughout the week, but then I had a weekend out of town and one with scrapbooking so come Monday I showed a gain. Frustrating! But I'm bound and determined to get below 250 this week!

Not doing too well. I had gotten down to 150, but gained back 5 lbs and am now at 155. Guess that's what happens when you stop paying attention!!! I am working on getting back on track and staying on track! Wish me luck!

Congrats to those who lost weight. Great job!

I've been weighing myself once a week, on Sundays, with no weight loss. But, I am toning up and developing muscle from yard work. This weekend and last weekend I got large stone from the mountain, put them in our little pickup, took them out of the pickup, spread them on the lawn, then built flat stone walls around two trees in the front yard. Much bending, squatting, lifting, walking, etc. I got a bed-load of topsoil and shoved that off of the truck into the new garden around the tree. This week, I will get another load of soil to put around the other tree.

It has taken me weeks to lose the 5 pounds that I gained in June. I'd lose 3 pounds and then gain 2 back, etc. I am now back at 197 where I was. Hopefully I will show a loss when I weigh in on Monday. I want to see the numbers start to go down again. Lately I have felt like I am on a rollercoaster.

That was some great advice Katie! I'm going to change my ticker and see what it tells me.

And FINALLY my dang scale moved! Yay! I'm out of the 240s! That makes me sooooooo soooooooo soooo happy! This is definitely an interesting journey we are making and one that can't be compared to anything. I just have to look at where I was when I started and then look at where I am now and realize that I have made changes. That is part of what keeps me motivated.

I've also heard changing the amount of calories can help you get off a plateau. My *best guess* is that as we eat right and work out, we raise our metabolism. Our bodies then need more calories to do what it was doing at a lower metabolism? I'm not sure, but I think on your start page if you re-enter your goals and put in your current weight and goal it will tell you if you need to change your calorie-intake.

You workouts sound good. My only suggestion is with the AB and arm weights to remember to do your cardio also.

I am trying the "change your work out" this week. In the past I have worked out at work every morning for 30 minutes on the elliptical and swiss ball. This week I have been working out at home every morning doing the AB work out on my bean and using arm weights. I am going to see if this will get things going again. Let me know what you guys are doing to stay motivated and get off of that plateau. I have not been able to loose anything for the last month or so. I really could use some help.

Have you tried "mixing up" your workout? For the past month I have had a hard time getting that scale to move, no matter what I do. I have now come to the conclusion that I need to change my workouts. I have been doing the same "routine" since I started and I think my bod is bored. LOL Starting on June 1st I am going to change my workouts around to see if it makes any difference. Just a thought.

I'm about ready to throw my scale out the window. I can't seem to figure out what I'm not doing right to help this weight go down. I gained a freaking pound this week. Ugh! Granted, I could have probably done more exercise than I did, but dang. I've been on such a role and had lost 27 lbs. What do I need to do to get the weight loss moving again? Any ideas would be appreciated!

It's okay Lori. I've been fluctuating on my weight for the past I don't know how many weeks. Don't get discouraged. Just keep going and you'll get back on track. Have faith in yourself! We all have faith in you!

Well....I gained 2 pounds. I am not at all surprised since I really have not done any exercise in a week and my eating helthy went right out the window over the holiday weekend. By tomorrow, ALL that party food will be out of my house and I can get back on the right track. If it's not here...I can't eat it

That's not a bad idea Heidi, and I commend you if you are able to do it! I know I could probably not only weigh in every two weeks. Not right now anyways.

I weighed in yesterday morning and was down just a half a pound to 166. But given the two weeks I've had - thats huge!

Of course that was before the graduation party we went to. I didn't even attempt to weigh in today!

Hope everyone is achieving their goals.

Good Job Diane on your grades! Also, keep up the good work on staying focused with the new healthy lifestyle. You'll be able to see the scale move as long as you stay focused.

Normally my weigh-in day is Fridays, but lately I've been thinking about going every two weeks. I weighed this morning and am wondering why the body is able to fluctuate so much in a matter of days. I'm going to just keep up what I'm doing and stick to my eating plan. I know that this journey is a long road and there will be speed bumps along the way. Hopefully I can continue to lose the pounds.

Thanks KT True, I'd have reached my goal by now if exercising my brain helped with weight loss. tee hee

I forgot to post my weigh-in on Sunday. No change again. That's ok because I was swamped at work, then worked a big sale over the weekend. I could have eaten really badly with all the bad foods around me but I was good. I also walked a lot due to working. I was surprised the scale didn't go down but maybe I built up some leg muscles.

I have good news! I scored an A on the final exam in my computer course and earned an A in the course for the semester.

I feel more motivated to work out with the nicer weather, but in return also feel more rushed to fit it in among other things. So - glad that I am still getting the workouts in, but not liking the go-go-go feeling!

What was it about last week that made none of us feel like exercising? LOL I'm guessing that the nicer weather has brought lots of work to do...or fun things to do... in addition to our everyday schedules. I know that's what it is in my case. Somehow I need to find some balance so I can keep up with my workouts.

Heidi - great job!!

Keri - I hope you met your goals this weekend and have a good weigh in today!

Diane - maintaining is better than nothing. Hope your finals went good. Nothing wrong with exercising the brain - too bad it doesn't take weight off!

Lori - Another pound is another pound! Great work.

Amy - don't get discouraged. You have been busy and still accomplishing things. You are doing great and I have no doubt that you have enough determination to get yourself back on track.

As for me - all last week I yo-yoed between 166.2 & 167.2. So I am not changing my ticker this week and will see what it says next week.

Same here. I didn't do much with Spark between being slammed at work and studying for my Final Exam I drank less water, didn't eat quite as well and did no exercise except for my brain. But the scale didn't move, thank goodness.

It's always nice when you think you didn't do to well during the week and you step on that scale and see that number go down, or at least stay the same. I also had two days this week that I did not work out. I weigh in on Monday so I am going to be sure and work out this weekend. Hope everyone has a healthy weekend.

I was very surprised to see that scale was happy with me this morning. I haven't done much exercise this week with my dang sinus infection, but it still read 240. Yay! This makes me very happy!

Great job Heidi, keep up the good work.
I started out this week doing well, but today I missed my morning workout because I had to be to work early and I also work late tonight for a meeting. To make matters worse I forgot my lunch on the counter at home. I do have some instant soup in my drawer for an emergency, I guess that's what this is. I will still try to get in a workout tonight when I get home.

Great Job Lori! Like Katie said, a pound is a pound. But I completely understand how you feel about having a larger weight loss. The most I've lost is 2 lbs a week. I guess that's better then gaining....right!?!

So I went to the doctor yesterday because I was feeling under the weather. And when I stepped on the scale it said 242.8. Yay! That's even lower then last friday. That makes me feel good because I haven't done much exercise this week with feeling yucky. So hopefully the scale will either stay the same or go down by Friday. We'll see!

LOL, Lori! Keep your head up and know a pound is a pound and your headed in the right direction!

I don't know how you would see 3-4 pounds a week.... do you keep your exercise routine mixed up so your body doesn't get used to it? I hear thats one thing you can do.

Lost one pound last week. It sure would be nice if just once in awhile I would get on the scale and it would tell me that I lost 3 or 4 pounds. I know that 1 to 2 is what we should be losing, but I think we should be rewarded on occasion with a larger loss for the week. I don't think that's too much to ask! LOL

I did measurements tonight and lost 2 inches!

However, I'll throw in the disclaimer that I am not claming to be the most accurate. I know measurement are just as, if not more, important than the pounds. But its hard to measure yourself! And then to make sure you are measuring the same spot each time? Its tough!

Either way - I'll take it!

Anyone know how many inches = a size?

Way to go on that weight loss girlie!!!!!! That is amazing. I would guess that if you lose 2 inches off your waist and 4 inches off your hips, for an example, that would be a total loss of 6 inches. That's the way I would figure it.

Now I know for sure the last two Sunday's were thrown off some how! Today I weighed in at 166.6!! This means between Wednesday's weigh in and today's I lost like 5 pounds? I can't quite remember what it said on Sunday. I am happy with today's results. :)

I plan to take measurements later today too. How do you determine how many inches you lose? Do you add the difference of all the different body parts you measure together?

Guess What!?! Guess What!?! I think I'm off the plateau. I am back to 244, well it was between 244 and 243 so in my ticker I put 243.50. And I also lost inches. I haven't lost inches in a long time so it feels good to be going down again!

I do the same thing. I like to have that mid=week warning sign that tells me if I need to step up my workouts before weigh-in.

I don't normally weigh-in in the middle of the week. But today I made an exception because I wanted to see where I came in for my April weight loss goal. I used today's weigh-in of 168 for an official number. Which means I loss 3.8 pounds this month. (I think I figured that out correctly.)

Will check-in again on Sunday when I go back to my regular weigh-in day.

As for me; according to my official weigh in on Sunday I went from 172 down to 171.6. Which is okay. But tells me I need to be more careful on Saturdays! This was the second week in a row I was weighing in at 170 and below (!) thoughout the week and then jumped up again on Sunday. Yesterday I was already weighing in at 168. But I won't change things again until Sunday. You better believe I am not risking anything on Saturday like I have the past two weeks!

I've been weighing in on Thursdays and I lost 1.5 lbs last week. I'm hoping it's back up this week to 2 lbs or more! I did take my 30 day picts and you could tell a difference from the picts when I started 30 days ago! 5 inches lost is noticeable -- YEAH!

I think I'm hitting a plateau. I haven't lost any in a couple of weeks. I've been stressed and will admit that I've 'cheated' more than I should. I have good days and then really bad ones.

I'm not letting it discourage me though. I've just to keep telling myself that I've come this far, I can't give up and I need to keep going to reach my goals.

I am looking forward to a good weigh in on Sunday. I am more than convnced that my official weigh in last Sunday was scewed! All week I had been weighing 170.4; then Sunday was back at 172. This week has again been right around 169 - 170. So looking forward to having a loss this week. Will keep you posted!
