Hello everyone and Happy New Year to all!
To quote Oprah Winfrey “Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
So here we are the 2nd day of the New Year and we get to do it all over again. What we do and how we do it is all an individual choice and we have to find the right formula that works for us. It may take some time with some tweaking along the way. We may excel at times and fall a little short at others. But what is important is to make that commitment to live a healthy life. The key is that we try to make it an everyday way of life for the most part.
Eat well, move often, live life to the fullest and not let it pass us by. Whatever your goal is this year it is an important one because you are important to yourself and to your loved ones. We each owe ourselves the chance to be the best that we can be.
So that being said I invite you all to join me in this year’s weight loss & weight maintenance challenge. No matter how much or how little weight we each have to lose it is best done with accountability and support. Being in the maintenance stage of our journey is quite an achievement but it is no easy task and it is so easy to lose track if we are not focusing. That is why I urge everyone who has reached their goal to join us on the weekly weigh in.
Hope to see many of you join me and sticking it out till we get to do yet again next year. Striving for a healthy lifestyle is a lifetime commitment. There is no end or beginning but a continuation of the process.
I am keeping the monthly format the same as last year. I believe it is simple and effective of keeping track of our progress from month to month. Post your long term goal for the year and as usual we will be posting the short term monthly goal each month. Your goal can be in weight, inches or body fat. You get to decide what works best for you.
The first weigh in for January will be Friday, Jan 4th and the last one will be Thursday, Jan 31st.
As usual I ask that you be committed to sticking with the challenge, post your goals weekly and be there for the final weighing in. If for any reason you cannot post on that specific day post it before or after and let the team know if you will be away for any time during the challenge.
Keep copying and pasting from week to week and add your new stats every Friday! Please do not deviate from this format. It sure makes my job easier to keep track of from week to week.
