My scale died this morning!!! UGH!!! not sure if it is the battery so will start by replacing that. Thing is I changed the battery a couple of months ago and realy surprised it died already! I hope it is just that. The scale is only a couple is years old!
Anyway I will be posting yesterday's weigh instead.

Well, it's been a hectic start to the new year, but somehow I'm managing to stay on track. I missed my weigh-in yesterday and then noticed I recorded my original weight wrong. I really shouldn't be doing this on my iPhone! But, I'm here today and planning to stick with this challenge. I have a trip to the Maldives in March and I'd really like to fit back into my wetsuit by then! (Thank God for Hyperstretch) Also, I just feel more comfortable underwater when I'm in shape!! Good luck everyone!

YEAR 2012 LONG TERM GOAL:

JANUARY 2012 GOAL: 9 lbs
9# will get my BMI into the normal range instead of being over!!!!!!! BMI is not as important to me as is belly-inches, but I feel better when i weigh less.
I have social forces keeping me a bit overweight. People say I look gaunt when I weigh what I want to weigh and they recommend some quick therapy!!!!!! But that is just because silly dental practices-- along with public school wasting my time so I did not have childhood-time to study the alternative-healing methods that I was interested in even then-- have harmed enough of my teeth that my mouth is not filled-up with teeth anymore.
I AM irritated about a few things, and I don't take the blame for all of my situations--just as I don't take the responsibility for every child that is born on this planet or for every crazy politician who can't add or subtract.
We pro-create each-other, as the Lord said; we don't come with Eternal Souls. Our souls belong to God and he can take them back through the un-creation of Hell or give us eternity in His glory. Thanks to GOD I am not yet immortal!!! Not on this fallen earth where men are taught to take over the family duties of the mothers/wives and then neglect their God-given duty to study G-d's Word and teach their families without force!!!!! After-all, men are still learning; and women have been taught by the society and churches and men and women all of their lives, too.
Some family chaos allows for creative processes instead of the religious dogmas that destroy family after family and society after society and heart after heart. Thanks be to G-d that we are NOT immortal now!!!!!!!!!!!
We have responsibilities to be in the Image of God--the whole-Bible God, Who is filled with grace but is not mocked. Hence, in a society where everyone helps each other prepare for the Sabbath that our Saviour kept ( And in the 40 days after His resurrection when He talked with hundreds of people, He did not change that Holy Day. Change was enforced in fallen religions 300 years later.) --there, someone working on the Sabbath in un-necessary ways is punished a lot! In societies that do not support real-Creator worship, this punishment is nearly non-existent. What's the mystery about the Old Testament vs New Testament G-d? Just think and get a view. OK.

Hello Team and a very Happy New Year to all!

Welcome to the first of A New Year, A New Start Challenge! The monthly format will be the same as last year so we will keep the score going from month to month so that we can see how the year is progressing.

For those of you that have not weighed in for Dec 2011 yet, now is the time to do that and then come and set a new goal for January.

The only thing that will be different is that I will ask you all to set a long term goal for the year as well as the short term monthly goal.

Your goal can be weight, inches or body fat, pick whichever means of measure that you are most comfortable with.

I also want to congratulate everyone who succeeded to reach their goals for 2011! You all did great!
For those of us that did not get there, all is not lost and this is A New Year and a New Start after all!
There is always another chance to get to where we want to be and there is no better time than right now.

So hope many of you will join this challenge and keep it going with me. For January the first weight in will be Friday, Jan 6th and the last one will be Tuesday, Jan 31st.

As usual I ask that you be committed to sticking with the challenge, post your goals weekly and be there for the final weighing in. If for any reason you cannot post on that specific day post it before or after and let the team know if you will be away for any time during the challenge.

Keep copying and pasting from week to week and add your new stats every Friday! Please do not deviate from this format. It sure makes my job easier to keep track of from week to week.
If you have any questions, please address them in the lounge or send me a sparkmail.
