Thanks, Michela. I've learned a lot from you and from the Spark book. I KNOW I can do it. I just finished my 45 min workout. I need to get better at my nutrition, and my strength training. That is my next goal. Mostly the strength training. Right now my diet is hard because I have an intestinal disorder, which limits what i eat to carbs (crackers). Hopefully, after my procedure on Tuesday, we'll get to the bottom of it and I'll be able to eat some fruits and vegetables, apart from bananas.

Thanks, Michela, I'm proud of my streak too. So what if I didn't lose. I will this time!!!!! I've gotten into the habit of coming home, jumping on the stationary bike and doing 45 minutes. Yay me!!!

On Tuesday, I have a colonoscopy scheduled TMI so I may not be able to get on the bike that day. Maybe the Wii Fit???

Change of plans. I'm just going to use the bathroom scale because the Wii scale is totally wacked. I gained 7.3 pounds on my last weigh in and I still only weighed 158.5 pounds. There is just no way I weigh that little.

Note : I think I am going to use both scales because the weights are quite different now. I wish I could believe the Wii scale because it said I lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks. Unbelievable!!! Maybe I will take the average of the 2 scales and post that number.

Hello team,

A New Year and a new decade is quickly approaching and it is time to really take stock of the past year and evaluate the progress we made in achieving the goals we set out for ourselves. Some of us did great, some others, myself included struggled with our weight loss goals. We each have our reasons for not achieving them. But right now that is in the past, 2009 is almost over and it is time to think ahead and the year to come and ask ourselves the following questions:

• Is this the year I will finally lose the extra weight?

• Do I want to make healthy choices to do so?

• Will I make a commitment to fitness?

• Am I ready to make a commitment to myself and the team to achieve my goals?

• Am I ready to Spark on and give it all I’ve got?

There are so many other questions we can be asking ourselves to gear up and get motivated to make 2010 THE year, but that is a good start.

I want you all to know that I am 110% committed to this team and to each one of you. Even when I am MIA for a few days (because after all life happens), I am ALWAYS thinking about my commitment to this team.

So one more question for you; Are you in and ready to make it happen?

I hope so, and I look forward to seeing you all.

The challenge will run for 6 weeks with Friday January 8 being the first weigh in day and Feb 12 will be the last one for this challenge. (Just in time for Valentine’s Day).

You can post your goals as soon as this post is up and I will see you back on January 8 for the first weigh in.

As usual I ask that you be committed to sticking with the challenge, post your results weekly and be there for the final weighing in. If for any reason you cannot post on that specific day post it before or after and let the team know if you will be away for any time during the challenge.

Goals are to be set in whole lbs only or in inches, your choice. Remember to set realistic goals for the 6 week period. To keep it fair I would ask that goals not be changed during the challenge.

The style format will be the same as the example below. Keep copying and pasting from week to week and add your new stats every Friday! Please do not deviate from this format. It sure makes my job easier to keep track of from week to week.

Select an emoticon, if you like and post one for every full pound lost or for every .5" lost.
A goodie awaits everyone who achieves their goal.
