Thanksgiving is almost here, and the winter holidays follow closely behind. While most people write off the holidays as a time when healthy living is impossible, that's not the case!

Before you panic, remember that SparkPeople is here for you! We know that holidays are challenging times for our members.

With all the parties, food, shopping, decorating, and volunteering associated with them, it becomes even harder to exercise, eat right (without going overboard), and stay healthy. So we've created a special newsletter that will help you stay on track, make good choices, slim down your holiday recipes, and squeeze in fitness during the holiday season. Beginning Saturday, subscribers to the "Best of SparkPeople" daily newsletter will receive a supplemental "Healthy Holidays" newsletter. Starting Nov. 21, and running for seven weeks, each newsletter will be full of healthy recipes, holiday-specific strategies and more!
Click here to change your email settings so you can get this great newsletter.

(Note: You must subscribe to "Best of SparkPeople" in order to receive these holiday issues. When making subscription changes, be sure to click the "Save & Submit" button at the bottom of the page.)

In addition, we wanted to let you know that SparkPeople's "12 Days of Holiday Cookies" recipes are coming soon! (We've got NEW recipes this year!) Subscribers to SparkPeople's "Recipe of the Day" email newsletter will receive one new cookie or dessert recipe each day, beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1. What a delicious way to get ready for the holidays!

If you don't currently subscribe to the "Recipe of the Day" newsletter but would like to receive the "12 Days of Holiday Cookies" recipes, click here to change your email settings. (Note: You must subscribe to "Recipe of the Day" in order to receive these holiday issues. When making subscription changes, be sure to click the "Save & Submit" button at the bottom of the page.)

And be sure to stay tuned to SparkPeople.com, The Weekly Spark newsletter, and our healthy lifestyle blog dailySpark.com in the coming weeks for even more NEW and useful nutrition, fitness and wellness tips for the holidays.
