I am going to continue on the same path of challenges.....

I really need to make sure I am giving it 100% when I am NOT with my trainer.

Goal is to start getting rid of those pesky 8lbs I have left!!!!!!

I did pretty well with my challenges this past week. I exercised alot but haven't started cleaning anything. My church had a fair that I was in charge of on Sunday, so that took all my time.

Now that that's over, I focus on cleaning something. Here are my mini-challenges.

1) Exercise my tail off!
2) Houseclean my kitchen.

Mini Challenges for the remainder of Sept~

To burn 2700+ calories a week.

To keep a positive outlook on my weight loss and progess to date.

To get more fruits and veggies in my daily diet...that's been difficult, as most of the stores around me have not been carring good produce~ it's been rotting within 2 days.....So I stopped buying most of it, bc it's been wasting my money! SO let's see if it will be any better for the next couple of weeks!

My mini-challenge these next two weeks is to plan my weekly exercise program and stick to it!

No excuses - have put most of my life in order (house, personal time, etc.....)

Now it's time to prove to myself that I can continue this journey.

(I'm half way to my final goal - there is no stopping now)

Good Morning!

I did really badly on my mini-challenges last week. My hubby was on vacation and I wasn't; so after working all day he wanted to do something in the evening. I didn't exercise much at all.

So I'm keeping my mini challenges from last week but this time I'm doing them.

1) Exercise! Exercise! Exercise!

2) Start cleaning garage.

Good Morning!!

I did pretty well with my mini-challenges for last week. I did my aerobics dvd every day except one, walked every day except two, did strength training only once and didn't touch the elliptical. I did well with my munching though and only got a little melancholy one day. That week was pretty successful!

1) Exercise: do my aerobics dvd every day, walk as many days as possible, do strength training and start building on the elliptical. I'm repeating this one till I successfully complete it -- and this is still an area that I need to push myself on.

2) I have several projects around the house that I need to get started on, so this week I'll start on the garage.

My mini-challenges for this week are

1) Exercise: do my aerobics dvd every day, walk as many days as possible, do strength training and start building on the elliptical.

2) Stay active so I don't munch in the evenings. My daughter is at college now and my husband is on second shift (3 - 11) which means I have my time to myself -- but could also mean I could get depressed and munch. I need to watch that!

Ladies,

Let's really press in this month. Please establish 2 goals you want to accomplish in September and strive to get them accomplished.

Here are mine:

1. Get back into my running routine. I want to run 50 miles this month.
2. Eating a lowfat, high fiber diet.

My Mini-challenges this week are to:
1. Put in the same effort on the days that I'm NOT with my trainer....I have been a slacker the last two weeks - feeling a little burnt out.

2. PURGE - My Closet(Clothes that don't fit or haven't worn), Storage - If I genuinely think I will never use the item again - it's going to Good Will!, and my cabinets (both Kitchen and Bathrooms)!!!
Hope this organization will give me some new found energy!!!

Good Luck to everyone these next two weeks!

Good Morning!

My mini-challenge was to do my aerobics dvd every day and get back on the elliptical and strength training -- and I didn't achieve that exactly. I did my aerobics 3 days and didn't do the others at all. I did walk a few days since the humidity broke.

This week we leave Thursday to take my daughter back to college and then my husband and I are traveling on to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (so we get something out of this trip, too!). So I need to get really organized again to help get her packed up and ready to go early Thursday.

So, my mini-challenge this week is to exercise as much as I can, not get stressed out and want to eat, and stay organized.

Next week, I'll kick up my exercising! Oh, by the way, I lost 3 pounds!!

My goal:
1. Write everything down. This helps me be accountable. Sometimes I am in denial, and I'm not eating with the intention to lose weight. Other times, I really haven't lapsed all that much, and I make myself feel like I am the worst person in the world. So, I need to write it down.
2. Exercise 5 out of the 7 days.
3. Eat lunch somewhere other than my desk. Preferable get outside and walk around a bit!

[I'll also add that I'm not really sure how these challenges work, but I need to do something to get and stay motivated]

"As we think, so we become"

I will not quit.

I need to repeat my mini goal - at least one personal thing for myself every night other than exercise.

I am having such a hard time balancing being this active and 'real life'.

Good luck everyone with you challenges these next two weeks!!!! I know everyone has it in them to do it!

My challenges are:

1. To journal every single thing that goes in my mouth

2. To check in with this group every day. I've let that slack, it seems like if I don't report it, the bad eating didn't happen. But, I need that accountability, so its getting reported!

Well, I am going to stick with what I am doing with the zig zagging of my calories. Again, eating my fiber is a priority as well.

Good Morning!

I didn't exercise at all this past week. I was exhausted and it was hot -- so we start again. My mini-challenge is to do my aerobics dvd everyday, do my strength training and work on the elliptical.

Also, to watch my picking at bad stuff. I had a huge family cook-out and there are leftovers sitting around. When I do eat some of those things, I immediately don't feel good. My body doesn't like them anymore; I just think that I want them because I'm used to wanting them. So, I'm going to stop.

My mini goal last time was to do cardio 5 of 7 days, which I met through always doing at least a fifteen minute walk at lunchtime, going to the pool with my kid and using exercise videos in the morning before the heat of the day.
My mini goal this week is to add on to last time by concentrating more on form during work-outs and cutting out unhealthy back-to-back snacking. It seems that when I work out more I immediately feel entitled to snack more.

Great challenges all. :)

I am off to Grad School for a couple of weeks starting on Thursday, and since I will have limited access to the internet I'm going to enter my challenges in advance...

My goal for the next few weeks is to run 3 days a week (C25K), drink more water, and eat mindfully. If I get some yoga done during this time or swim some laps (if the pool is big enough) that that's great, but if I can accomplish those first three things listed then I will be very proud of myself and consider things a success!

Good Morning! I'm back to Sunday because I hosted a family cook-out yesterday and didn't have time for anything else.

My mini-challenge was to exercise everyday and while I did some kind of exercise I don't feel like I did enough -- and the tape measure showed that some areas "relaxed" a bit, so I didn't do enough.

So that is my challenge for this week, too. Now that my cook-out is over, I can focus on my health again. So everyday I'll do my aerobics dvd and start back on my elliptical. 3 days I'll do strength training. Most days we walk the dog, but when it's in the 90's she can't walk too fast.

Have a Great Week!!

Hello there!
My mini challenge is *to cut aspartame from my coffee and later *to cut my coffee. Has been 45 days since I took my last diet soda.... emoticon
Now it's water and only water.
Another mini-goal its* to replace white rice with brown rice.
However I still take 2-3 coffees a day and I use aspartame in it...

Completed first day of mini challenge – fell short 15min, but pushed my body to the limit. I feel great and exhausted all in one.
Didn’t fit any personal time into day – will make sure I do tomorrow.

Well first day down – two weeks to go!

I am in a plateau as well. For August, I am going to zig zag my calorie intake. For example, I am going to follow this plan for my calories:

Sunday: 1200 calories
Monday: 1800 calories
Tuesday: 1500 calories
Wednesday: 1800 calories
Thursday: 1200 calories
Friday: 1500 calories
Saturday: 1500 calories

My eating is my problem. I want to really to start clean eating as well as continue to work on my fiber. This is going to be my mini challenge for the entire month, because eating is the issue! Ugh!

I will add a evening walk with the kids this week to burn off eveing energy. I wish everyone the best on there challenges this week!

My mini goals this week (feel like I need to accomplish two of them in order to break the big 200lbs…) are:
1. I want to complete an additional 60min on top of my training sessions. Currently working out 60min 6xs a week and this will up the anti to 120mins three of those days. (30 min before & 30 min after)
2. I want to make sure I include at least ONE personal task (in addition to my workout) a night. (Reading, cleaning, etc….) I am trying to find the time and balance of the new ‘healthy physical’ life and ‘normal’ day to day life.
(I also need to keep up the NOT eating after 10pm (my last challenge) – that’s a struggle for me for some reason)

Strength & Determination

I am breaking a life-long cycle. Finally NOT giving up what I have worked so hard to accomplish.

I have full control of my body - not all things in life are this way. I am taking control of myself - it's empowering.

Ok, so I'm pretty much starting over. I was off to a pretty good start, but then there was a death in my family that has thrown me completely off so I'm back at square one. But I know I can do this!

Last week I meet my goal but I didn't weight in yet today. This week MY mini goal will continue of not eating any candy, cookies and other sweets because I can't control them, I will continue to replace them with eating fruit and semisweet chocolate 1 oz if need be, this just help with my sweet tooth and I can control it with out going over on my serving. I am also not drinking any kind of pop including diet because I was having problem getting in water and the diet pop was making me more hungry. My exercise has slaked off a little but I am still getting at least 4 days of execise and I having been trying to go to bed when I am tired in the pm, this keeps me from eating to much at this time, and this is the time I over eat. I feel really strong this week and will post my weight in later this week. I hope everyone has a good week.

Ladies,

Next week's bonus challenge will be to do at least 4-5 exercises of the day. You chose which day you would like to do this challenge. For example, if today was your choice, you would do the lying adduction exercise, which is great for your inner thighs. You can add some ankle weights as well to make this exercise even more challenging.

Have a great evening!

Good Morning!

I'm doing my posting today because Sunday is too hectic for me.

My mini-challenge was to exercise everyday and I did! Everyday I did my aerobics dvd and walked the dog most days (I missed Tuesday because I had a meeting and last night because it stormed). I didn't use the elliptical as much; I'll work on adding that in more this week. I also did my strength training, except for last night so I'll do that today.

I think I'll keep the same mini-challenge for this week, too. It really stresses my schedule sometimes to find time to exercise; it helps if I've challenged myself!

I look forward to seeing how you've all done tomorrow! Hope it doesn't mess anything up that I changed my day. Have a Good One!!

This week my mini challenge is to get 550 cardio minutes in this week.

In addition, I am going to continue with the waking up without the snooze and trying to stay within my calories!

Hola!
I still am undecided about my mini challenge this week because I want to do everything!! :) I will put it best this way: My mini challenge this week is to weigh 142.0 or less by Sunday morning when I wake up. I will accomplish this by: a) Getting a minimum of 7 hours sleep, b) Getting up at 5 a.m., c) Taking zinc supplements and calcium supplements, d) Doing yoga 5xs minimum this week, and most importantly, e) Staying below 1350 cals on Saturday & Sunday!

My mini challenge was to eat breakfast everymorning and I did that 5/7 days so that's better! For this week I think my challenge will be to get in more calcium. I noticed that I haven't been getting much in lately so I'm going to try to get my recommended daily allowance for this week. Have a good week everyone!

Good Morning!!

My mini-challenge was to continue eating well on vacation and I did really well on that!! So goal achieved!! I had only lost 1 lb. this morning, however, when I weighed in -- but I ate well and exercised and feel great -- so I'm happy!! The scale will follow.

My mini-challenge this week is to exercise more. I'm going to do 45 minutes of cardio like my exercise dvd everyday as well as my elliptical and walking the dog -- and add in my strength training exercises. Time to turn up the heat!!

My mini challenge was to swim 15 laps 3 times this week. Due to the pool being closed at 5:00 pm a couple of times this week and that being the only time that I can go due to work schedule, I will not make it. I did get in 36 laps. To make up for the difference, I will be doing a 5K this morning. I will not be running, as hubby wants to go with and he is not a runner. It is in conjunction with the pow wow that is going on this weekend. We do it every year. Hope that everyone has a good weekend. I hope to be back up to par next week. Have been sluggish this week due to allergies. emoticon

Ops, I think I posted on the wrong site. Did my mini challenge of strength training today (yuck). :) Also, no refined sugar for me today.

(By the way, new mini challenge is 3 days of strength training per week for two weeks.)
