Now that we are doing something about our eating, it's time to get those proper servings of vegetables and fruit. This week's goal is to eat 5 servings of veggies and 4 servings of fruit daily! Here are some examples for serving sizes:
•one half cup of orange or other fruit juice
•five broccoli florets
•ten baby carrots
•one roma tomato
•3/4 cup tomato juice
•half of a baked sweet potato
•one ear of corn
•four slices of an onion
We will still follow the same format of giving yourself 5 points per day for meeting the requirements. I know this maybe difficult for some of us, but this is to help us develop better eating habits.
So, ladies, let's press in this week and get those 5 points daily!
