Well, sorry to let the red team down and sorry for posting so late. I've had house guests for 3 days and totally forgot about posting.

Afraid I haven't done very well. I did lose 1 pound, but the inches didn't move.

For July I lost 2 pounds, and 7.5 inches!

Love inches going down, but want to see the numbers, too. I actually lost a little muscle mass along with my fat. I'm not eating enough calories or getting enough protein. Going to change that for August.

My measurements stayed exactly the same! No loss anywhere.

I'm posting a three pound loss for July for the red team. But, now I must bow out for a while. Just found out I'm pregnant! If the August challenge is mile-related rather than pound-related, I'll be there. My doctor wants me to continue exercising, walking, stationary bike and swimming, so that would give me a reason to stay motivated and log the miles. :)

Hey Red Team!

I'm down 5lbs. Had a few set backs this week, but I'm getting back on track starting today. Had a great workout this morning and have been pushing myself harder than ever. This week, for the first time EVER, I've been able to run for 5mins straight. Personal best! Of course, I did eat pizza and banana bread this week too which is why my weight is up 2lbs from last week... As long as we don't quit, we're a success! :)

I'm still in but not doing so good. I've been exercising and getting my water (most days), but I've been really bad on the food. My husband is going away for 10 days next week and I think while he's gone I'm going to start a new diet strategy. Need to get back to planning every meal and sticking to it. I've been skipping my lunch time fruit and I'm snacking more later in the day. Very bad.

Hope everyone else is doing better than I am.

Today was my check-in day. Every two weeks I record my measurements and weight. So far for July I have lost 2 1/2 pounds and 5 1/4 inches.

Still two weeks left to go and I plan on stepping it up!

Still stuck at around the 170 mark, grrrr. I'm actually gonna raise my calories a bit, I've been exercising really hard and I think the bare minimum 1200 just isn't cutting it for me anymore. I'm so darn tired all the time.

I also have been really slack on my water intake, gonna work on that today!

GO RED!

Just checking in - hope everyone is losing. I've been up & down but mostly maintaining. I was sick earlier this week and now I'm to a day-off and have a tremendous headache. I should be getting outside and going for a run, but I'm miserable and the weather is worse. Came here to hopefully get myself psyched up.

Yesterday I really did not want to go to the gym after work. At first I convinced myself to stop by saying I could just go in and use the sauna (we've been setting record lows here in northern Minnesota). By the time I got to the club, I had told myself I had to at least try 10 minutes of cardio. Well, I jumped on a bike with a good magazine and before I knew it half hour was gone. Sometimes it's just getting started but if you can concentrate on how good you'll feel after the workout, I think it helps.

Heidi -- Good Job on resisting the buttered popcorn and going for a healthier alternative! Keep up the good work.

There are no quick fixes. Getting healthy and managing your weight it is not a temporary thing. It's a series of day-to-day, meal-by-meal choices that you have to stick with for the long haul.

What a tough day! I did get in my weight workout but I was just too exhausted for cardio. Felt like emotionally eating tonight.. wanted popcorn with butter really badly, but I substituted a hundred calorie packet of crunchy almonds instead, and stayed on track!

Good morning, Red Team!! Mid-week check-up. How is everyone feeling? I am really proud of myself for the strides I've made so far this week - definitely not perfect, but much better than previous weeks. I have successfully gotten in the water and stayed within calories and my husband is no longer the only one who uses the stationary bike in our house. :) How about the rest of you? Okay, we have room for one more WOAM who wishes to participate in this challenge. This lady will be on the Blue Team. The other teams have 9 members and we are going to settle with that. So, if you are interested, the first WOAM will be placed on the Blue Team.

As long as you posted them where you can keep them in your presence is fine!
