congrats to labrat :) I am hopping onto this challenge. I have no "weight" goal but, I do have the goal of tracking my food and working out. I'll start with that. I hope to achieve the ability to workout five to six days a week and stay within calorie range of 1300-1700

Make Life Sparkle.

Ladies,

If you wanted to join me in possibly doing a half marathon by walking, go and check out the following walking schedule from Prevention Magazine:

http://www.prevention.com/8weekplan/dl/P

Prevention Magazine also has some half marathons and marathons you may want to check out as well. I am thinking about doing the half marathon in Philadephia.

Here's the link about the marathons and half marathons sponsored by Prevention:

Please send me a sparkmail to let me know if you are interested in doing a half marathon!

I was hoping to do some running, but unfortunately the knees were not having it. So, I am thinking of walking a half marathon instead.

So for those ladies interested in walking a half marathon, I will send you a sparkmail later on today the schedule from Prevention Magazine.

Hey, I've just been researching marathons and half-marathons; so I'm definitely into training "together". You mentioned walking, but I'm actually looking at running. For anyone interested, shape.com has training calendars for both half- and full- marathons.

Hi, ladies. Just checking in. I have lost exactly zero pounds so far. In fact, the scale has definitely gone up. I just can't bring myself to change my ticker yet.

Regardless, I have met my challenge goal so far. I have been on SP every day. I have logged every bite and every exercise. Looking at the state of my diet has been depressing though. I'm really going to have to focus on it.

Sorry for being in such a down mood today. How's everyone else doing?

If not now, when?

With the warmer weather around the corner, is there anyone out there who would be interested in training for a half marathon (13.1 miles) walking? I would love to get back into running, but my knees are saying no way! So, I can do the next best thing and walk a half marathon! Any takers up for the challenge?

To your comment about being at 130, I read in Shape that Jenny McCarthy as gorgeous as she is, lost to right around the weight she wanted to be then got stuck. She said she cut gluten out of her diet and mixed up her work out routine with Bikram yoga. Sometimes any change in routine will help. I'm not expert just quoting what I saw. Hope this helps

We will use this thread to post discussions or questions. I will create two other threads pertaining to this challenge. One thread will be for our weigh-ins. The other thread will be for posting our biweekly challenges.

Okay, it is not 90 days before Summer, it's actual 24 days! The first day of summer is June 21st. However, this is going to be a 90-day challenge. We are going to start on April 1st until June 30th.

The challenge will consist of you being your own personal trainer, nutritionist, and psychologist. Each WOAM will post her own biweekly challenges and how much you want to lose in 90 days. Additionally, we will have team weigh-ins. The weigh-in dates are the following: April 1st, April 12th, May 3rd, May 17th, May 31st, June 14th, and June 30th. Please post your measurements on the assigned days.

You will set "one" small self-imposed challenge that will last 2 weeks (biweekly). After two weeks, you will change your challenge in an effort to keep your body guessing. These challenges can pertain to fitness, calorie intake, or mental well-being. You can look over some of our past challenges for inspiration. Once, you weigh-in, you will set how many pounds you would like to lose between weigh-ins.

I will give small weekly challenges as well. For example, I may ask you to try the exercise of the day for an entire week.

So, ladies, this is actually your own challenge! Get creative in accomplishing your biweekly weight loss goals. Don't forget to post weekly your challenge, because it may provoke other ideas for other WOAM. Have fun and remember the challenge starts this Wednesday! Don't forget to weigh-in and post your measurements.

Now, ladies, we lost a few of you in the last challenge. However, this challenge is going to require discipline and consistency. Remember, you are creating a biweekly challenge for yourself. Get creative and have fun! Who remains with this challenge and loses weight and/or inches will receive a $30 gift certificate (since I only gave out only one certificate in March). Let's see who will be focused enough to get the gift certificate.

Sincerely,

Stevie
