I think I've finally reached a plateau. I'm exercising, sticking to my caloric limit, drinking my water, but the scale is not moving. I've lost a few pounds and I'm happy with that, but with what I'm doing, I really expect more. I'm addicted to looking at the scale. I refuse to get discouraged by it, so today I am making a vow to myself not to get on the scale again until Saturday and see what happens!

Finally my brother, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8

I think it was too close to tell... I think I was too close to the top end of my range and I would feel bad taking the prize if I wasn't completely confident I stayed within range... I'm taking it home next month!! :-)

Did you eat within your calories for 5 days? If so, you are allowed to have one splurge during the week. That's my goal this week is to eat clean Sunday through Friday and splurge on Saturday. Let me know, because you may still be in the running! If not, you did well this month!

I almost lost it on Wednesday... I had to down 1/2 of my water right before bed... and spent the entire night running to the restroom!! I knew everything else was great, but I had slacked on my water. Stayed on track yesterday as well. I am feeling really weak today... I'm going to push through and make it to the gym anyway, but I am going to be taking it easy the rest of the weekend.

How is everybody else doing??

Jessica, Stay focused! Remember, you can do it!

However, I hear what about this week being crazy! I have been busy as well. I have 2 more days to get my strength training as well as my cardio. So, Friday & Saturday are my last days to get something done this week. I have to press in. My eating has been quite good. I still have some work to do to make sure I eat lean! But overall, it has been good!

I really need to get back on track!! If I don't get my act together for the next 4 days I am out of the running!! I was BARELY in my calorie range on Monday... I've done 1 day strength, today I am meeting with the trainer again. I need to snap out of it and do this!!

Well, I started eatting more yesterday... My first move was to eat oatmeal for breakfast. I tend to avoid oatmeal because I like to eat 2 packets of the Quaker oatmeal and those calories add up quickly! I added a little bit to my lunch and ate dinner as usual. I physically feel better now, I think eatting more than a cup of sugary cereal has a lot to do with that!!

I think seeing the change in my suggested calorie intake really scared me when I plugged in how many calories I'm burning... It shows that I should be eatting 1680-2020 calories a day!!! I figure it is worth a try. I am going to try this for the rest of the month... After that I am restructuring my workouts. I will no longer be seeing my trainer 3 days a week and I think I will try 1 day a week of yoga. I haven't planned it all out yet, but it will definately be different than it is now!!

I'm wondering if you're eating enough! Since you are working out a little more, have you recalculated your calorie range? Also, are you eating more often? For example, are you eating every 2-1/2 to 3 hours between meals? You may want to try this out and see if the scale starts to move. Also, are your clothes looser? If so, you maybe losing inches first, then the pounds usually follows. Don't stay discouraged! Plus, you can vent to us anytime! We are here for you and one another! Hang in there!

Hello all! Hope everybody doing well!

I'm getting a little discouraged lately... The scale is not budging lately!! I'm actually GAINING!! I have been working my @$$ off at the gym and staying in my calorie range and I'm GAINING!! I think it is too early to have hit a plateu... but I could be wrong! And I know muscle weighs more than fat and I have been doing a lot of strength training... but what the heck?! I wonder if I need to play around with my calories?? This month I am doing hot yoga 3 times a week, and it torches about 1000 calories a class!! Maybe I'm not eating enough to support these activities?? I know it could easily be any combination of these, but it's still discouraging... I just needed to vent.

This challenge is really keeping me accountable. I am really stressed now since the homeowner of the house my DH and I live in wants to sell so now we have to move. Tricky thing is moving time is when my DH will be deployed during the time our lease runs out. I will handle it but having this and other challenges will keep my accountable to not emotionally eat and other bad habits I am prone to when I am under a lot of stress.

Ladies, I updated the list of qualified WOAM. Now, I gave those who posted a day late a break due to the confusion. Posted my results although they were not great. I had a bad week fitness wise. Its the TOM and I have been sick as a dog since Wednesday. I hate cold and flu season. Blech!!!

I am starting to feel better today, so this coming week will be much better. I will feel up to my cardio and strength training for sure. Not to mention these forecast above 0 temperatures, is a sure sign that Spring is on it's way... finally!!!

Keep up the great work ladies. Just imagine how smokin' we are going to look this summer. I can hardly wait.

I have been on fire this week. I feel it too. I did a Biggest Loser DVD yesterday and my gluts are so sore. I didn't realize I even had muscle back there anymore! HAHAHA. Hang in there everyone.

This is day 5 and things are going really good. I'm doing everything that I need to do to stick with the challenge. I've got some slacks on today that are a little more baggy and that makes me feel good. All these months of watching what I eat are finally paying off!

I am here. This is day 4 for me. I could not work out yesterday. My gym had a fire but I didn't know until I drove there. Not making excuses. I am going to double my workouts tomorrow and Saturday. Looking forward to spring so I can get moving more.

Hello all!!

Hot yoga didn't happen on Tuesday... I was far too tired! But I am going back today. I found out that for somebody my size, 90 minutes of hot yoga burns about 1000 calories!! HOLY COW! That will make any body try it once, won't it?! I just can't wait to see if this helps kick my weight loss up a notch!

I hear you about being careful with the nutrition. This seriously is my weaknesses. Let's hold each up when it comes to our nutrition. Let's keep the mission in mind always!

This is day 3 for me and things are going real good. I've been keeping up with my exercise, drinking my water and staying in my calorie range. It's been really good for me to take this challenge! I am really excited to see what's going to happen by the end of the month.

Today is day 1 for me, hubby and I went on a spur of the moment weekend trip so I was unable to post until now. I am about to do my daily walk in a few minutes! This is a great way to keep me accountable on the days when I'd rather just skip workouts!

I was really tired. I had company coming in an hour. Did not feel like exercising at all. But I did. Went out for a brisk walk/jog. Rode bikes with my kids. I would've missed out on a really beautiful, spring-like day if I hadn't.

This is day 2 for me too. I just got back from Gym. Normally a snow day would be a great excuse to stay home but I though about challenge and said HECK NO. I am going to the Gym so thank you so much for the motivation.

Everybody who made it to the gym despite the blizzard - WAY TO GO!! We definately are not having a blizzard here (Seattle), we are actually seeing some blue skies!

I tried something new yesterday... hot yoga. The best way I can express my feelings about it is that it was awful but I loved it and I'm going back!! I have never worked so hard in my life! It was very difficult and exhausting, but it felt great! I didn't know I could sweat like that either!!! If anybody has even thought about trying it, give it a chance! I plan on going again tomorrow... I'm very excited!

Just like Anne stated in her post, we post our stats on Streak of Accomplishments. Yes, make one post for the entire month for March, but edit it on a weekly basis. That is one of the qualifications to win the giftcard. You have to edit weekly! This forum is for us to have discussions only! The other one is for letting me know your progress! I'm with you. This challenge really gives me incentive to get my exercise routine back in order. I had asked my sister to get with me so that we could challenge each other in losing weight, but she wasn't interested so this is really good. I'm excited to see what will happen - finally!!! Thanks for the challnege!
