Got started today on my new healthy lifestyle. Got to the gym for 35 cardio and did a few upper body machines and 1 lower body. Drinking more water and keeping my food intake in smaller portions.

I received a digital camera to help me get started with my goal of "Looking Fine in 2009". Going to take before and after pictures with the camera in order to stay focus & motivated!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I have been away from the gym for almost 2 weeks now. I have been eating all wrong too. I will just chalk it up to the holiday season. I am looking forward to starting the new year by eating right and exercising. I will start a whole new program in 2009.

Been away from the gym for a few days but I got back there early today for 30 tread and 30 upper body weights. Later on I took a nice 20 min fast walk with my dog Heidi.

Today, I bought myself an advance Christmas gift. I just purchased the Chalean Extreme from the Creator of Turbo Jam! I cannot wait until I get those DVDs in my hands and get extreme about becoming Lean!

No gym yesterday but I did get a lot of walking done while I was Christmas shopping at the malls.

My gift to myself was a nice pedicure. This winter weather is harsh on my feet and they really needed some tender loving care!

Been away from exercise for 5 days due to an injury I received at the dog park. Two dogs just ran into me and injured my ankle. Thankfully it is not broken just very sore and tender and swollen.
I did get back to the gym today for 30 cardio and 30 upper body weights.

Since starting this giving gifts to myself, for the past few days, I have given myself the gift of rest. I can actually say I have been getting over 8 hours of sleep for the past 3 days! emoticon

Today I gave myself 2 gifts! 20 minute workout (after weeks of none) AND staying within my calorie range for the first time in a long time!! Yay! :) emoticon

Great idea giving a gift of health to ourselves.
My gift today was a good 30 min cardio workout and 30 mins upper body workout.
We have to keep giving ourselves healthy gifts each day in order to reach our goal of being fit.

OK, I'm game. I've got a couple of ideas. But one that would be setting myself up for success would be to cut out white flour from the diet! It's one of those 'whites' I have trouble with. I can live with that for one month, even with holidays. Thanks for a good topic!

Happy Holidays Everyone,

Ladies, this challenge is a little unique. I want each of you to find a way to give yourself a healthy gift for 31 days! Starting today, give yourself something healthy. It could be a 30-minute workout. It could be a healthy dinner! It could be 8 hours of sleep. However, everyday, you will give yourself something that has to do with your health. Don't you deserve a wonderful Christmas gift all month long? Who better to give a gift to than one to yourself. Please share your gifts to yourself with the group. Let's strive for a healthy month, despite the cookies, egg nog, and other sweet treats during the season!
